1) It is.

2) Fine. All about opinions. I have no certainty (but a few quid to win at Ladbrokes) that we will make top 4. Just thought that considering we are improving, our fitness is very good and helping at the end of matches and we are improving as we adapt to Poch and his ways, and the majority of our technically most difficult matches will be out of the way half way through the season. The poster I was responding to was being a bit too emphatic in stating that, what I thought was a very good point towards top four, had a finality to it in ruling us out.

3) Yeah, but we should have had one penalty and maybe another two, Young should have been off for bringing down Townsend, and they had another few who were flirting with a red card.

4) I never get this talk. United dominated the 1st half. That we weren't behind at half-time was slightly unexpected. It was, in part, to one of our players doing what he is paid to do - so no luck involved there. And c'mon, you'll have seen as many games as I have were a team dominates, scores, and then the whole pattern of the match changes. If we had went behind, we may well have adjusted, went at them all guns blazing and wiped their sorry asses off the face of the Earth. They wouldn't have scored and then started play in the same place, with exactly the same mentalities and in the same positions as when they missed the chance that we are hypothesising went in. Let's just say they really should have been ahead at half time and leave it at that, eh :)

Besides, my argument was based on knowing that the result was 0 - 0 and we got a point :)

5) True enough. It may be too late for Schneiderlin. Let's just wait and see. maybe Poch is serious that if we don't buy anyone he is fine with it - maybe he has an ace up his sleeve (some master-plan that will turn Dembélé from the nearly man with everything but a heart (Wizard of Oz, like) to some kind of Uber-goal machine, dominating midfields and then using the ball perfectly every time?

6) We will see. Afaiac, we have seen our attacking play really coming together in recent matches, with some great link up play, hindered ultimately by some poor decision making. I am quite excited about that. IMHO, the one thing we absolutely need right this minute is an experienced (and that is that vital bit) central midfielder capable of dominating the centre of the park. The best fit we know for Poch's system is Schneiderlin. So, if we buy one player I want it to either be him or someone else capable of filling the role.

7) Or Europa. Or top 4. :)

8) Maybe, but I would get immense satisfaction from watching the Mickeys getting all uppity with their I'm nor'avin tha...it's rrrrr year BS and then stuffing them in the final :)

9) We will beat the Chavs next up - you heard it here first :)

Our fitness is certainly noticeable finishing games stronger than the opposition in most cases.
We just dont know what this season holds in store for us it could end up being one of our better ones, a cup final appearance would be nice.
Our play appears to be improving or parts of it we still give the ball away a bit too often and sometimes struggle to string a few passes together, although kanes vision is getting better each time i see him.
Im not expecting much if anything in january although i feel it would be silly to stick with what we have rather than improve on it,but we wait and see on that.
And finally i would like to meet Liverpool in the CC final as we owe them for 82.

Chelsea would be good IMO. It will be difficult. But suppose we win against Sheffield & face Chelsea. Even if we lose in final we would still be guaranteed a European spot, provided Chelsea win the league. There are few who don't like Europa league but I relish games on midweek. How boring would it be otherwise, without those games in midweek.

Agree Europa league is better than nothing at all although for the amount of time we have been in it we should have least made the final by now.
If we get through and face Chelsea Yes it would
Guarantee Europe next season whatever happens which cant be bad.

I dont think it does.

Im sure its only in the FA Cup that the runners up get Europa League (if the winners have already qualified)
Goes to the next league team in the Capitol One Cup

Didn't see the second half as my other half forgot this one was an early kick off and booked our train tickets back to Manchester for 1:15pm... But by all accounts it was a massive improvement (and it needed to be).

LVG whining about the schedule, fitness and recovery... We're all in the same boat but they haven't had to trek around Europe playing Tripolis, Limmassol, Partizan and Besiktas. They also got knocked out at the first hurdle of the Capital One cup. Guy is becoming a bore already.

Pathetic complaining really. Their finishing was poor. Really RVP had the best chance clean through - he fucked it up, pure and simple. Mata skying one over from 10 yards out ran it pretty close though.

All RVP needed to do was poke it to his left (Lloris' right). He almost tried to round Hugo from two yards out.

One does not simply 'round' Hugo.

Sheesh. Nothing to do with FIFA-all to do with the attitude of our manager.
Again no goals at home. Again 4-5-1. What is it 6 goals in 8 home games-it is unacceptable to me but not to a lot here in this thread who seem very content we did not score and are aghast at the thought of taking risks to score.
We were not scoring goals when we played two up top. Soldado is a passenger so we are better off with an extra player in midfield, plus our good run of form coincides with us reverting to one up top.

Plus bringing Soldado back in in a bid to score more goals is a bit of an oxymoron.

Am I going crazy... or were we actually very good yesterday? From my memory that was a damn good performance, and aside from riding our luck in the first half, we should have well beaten them.

Because going off the MOTD highlights and this mornings papers, you'd be under the impression the game was all Manure, and other than the early Kane and late Mason efforts we were hardly in it.

Fucking media. This is why I only trust my own eyes when it comes to football, not media reports and statistics.

I thought it was men against boys in the first half and we weren't the men.

Unless we did in fact batter tham second half, I don't know if we should have well beaten them. From the second half highlights I've seen they had all the best chances.

From being at the game, we were all over them and had a few very good chances in the last 20 mins. The flow was very much in our direction... hence the point about the highlights being a load of shite.

That seems to be the case, but without really testing De Gea like Hugo was tested.

Yeah, they created a couple more good chances, but we should have forced Ashley Young off the pitch and had at least one penalty so let's say Man U should have taken one of their chances, and we should have had one decision go our way and call it a fair draw. It was a hell of an entertaining game. The way we got into their faces in the second half made me as proud of a Spurs performance as I've been since maybe all the way back to our 3-1 win over Man City. They really need to take that attitude into the Chelsea game. So far it's been half a step forward, half a step back this year. I don't even care if we beat Chelsea as long as they know they were in a fight at the end of the game.

I agree. They certainly had the better chances in the first half, but we were no slouches. The second half was a different game, and we were the better team by far.
