Although City manage to get wins, they're not as great away as they are at home. We start on the front foot we could do it. I honestly think we can beat them. All I want though is a good performance regardless of result. Show them we are no push overs.

Totally agree, Spurs need to start at optimum performance, not ease into it or go missing for the first 20 minutes.

Really interested to see what team and tactic TS puts out, I wonder if he's tempted to throw caution in to the wind and attack attack attack?

I'd be well chuffed with a draw. I'd blow my beans with a victory.

As long as Dawson is on the pitch I won't be confident about this one. He's had some of his worst ever games for us against Man City - and in particularly Aguero - during the last 3 seasons.

I fully expect to see the Sherwood OUT thread at the top of the "what's new" section come Thursday morning...

Me too but I reckon it will be bumped ironically in a "do people still want him out?" sort of way after our glorious victory.

I think the key to winning this game is to frustrate city.

If we can stop them from scoring for as long as possible, i think we'll do okay. We did a great job of that at the Etihad and we were unfortunate to lose by 6 lucky goals

Tim Sherwood is pleased with the progress of Younes Kaboul, Paulinho, Sandro and Jan Vertonghen - but insists he won't rush them back to face City if they are not completely ready.

All four players are back in training after injury lay-offs and played in last week's friendly win at West Ham.

Andros Townsend (hamstring) and Erik Lamela (thigh) are the only players not currently training with the group.

"The four lads are back in training but we have to be cautious of not rushing them back," said Head Coach Tim. "We have to make sure they are ready.

"Andros and Erik are the only ones not training at the moment.

"The lads are getting fitter, stronger and very soon we’ll have a full squad to pick from.

"That (having the full squad) will be huge for us. It doesn’t get bigger than City and the temptation would be to put them back in, but if they are not ready, it could be counter-productive."

I still hate the fact that city have become bigger then us just because of money . I work with a city fan and he says that he likes Tottenham and hopes they make champions league but expects to beat us as easily as lasttime , hate how them and chelsea are guaranteed champions league .cads

The following will be uttered at least 50 times when tomorrow's team is announced.

Where's Lamela?

No Lamela?

Not looking good for Lamela is it?

Be prepared. Have the above comments from Sherwood ready to quote. At least 50 times :D
