Yea gotta admit it was a very poor miss by someone of who has been on decent form this season. Defoe played very well today, was a shame that Pav had to be taken off injured early on.

That was my initial reaction. It literally felt like we'd conceded a goal when he went off. But unfortunately for us, and I hate to say it, but Campbell, James and Distin were pretty fucking shit hot today, and dealt with almost everything between them.

But the thing that stands out is that defoe kept going and made amends, bent will now go into his shell even more

Defoe should have scored at least 3 but to be fair the presure was on him more than any other player on the pitch. Its only natural for us to say get rid of Bent but until we can find a good replacement there's nothing we can do.

compared to Bents miss that wasnt a sitter....and you have to see a difference between a first half miss and one in the 80th minute to put us into a winning position.
