Well he's keeping quiet about possible tranfer targets,which is a good thing, and the confidence he spoke with leads me to believe something is in the pipe line.

I agree, also he talked about bringing in players when previously he said it did'nt seem like we would after Defoe. I think he said something like "we not going to buy if we can't find the right players and we can't at the moment so it looks like Defoe will be the only signing this window" so for me after todays interview I think there might just be something positive in the pipeline

I thought we played well today and could well have won the game. Bent should have scored, no doubt,, but that's what happens when you're low on confidence and know your not 1st choice maybe ?

Again Zoko played well, Bale played better and Bently did absolutely nothing wrong when he came on and actually looked like he was trying. What a ball for Bent too.

It's sooooooo tight at the bottom, but after today, I feel better even though it was only one point, as long as we can keep the same level of performance home AND away.

ps what an advertisment for the PL bearing in mind the position of both teams

Everyone clear on the whole relegation battle situation now? Bent is the best championship striker we've had since the Razor,... he just cost a little more. Lennon and O'Hara ran their asses off. Corluka has a brain, I wish many of his team mates would learn - keep it simple "control the ball or it controls you" :bang:

Dawson really did the job when he came in. Gomes couldn't be faulted today.

We played a decent game, and had it not been for The Curse of Gareth Bale we would've won.
I think Fergie is a dark wizard of sorts and was so pissed off that Bale chose us over them that he's put a curse on the poor kid so we'll never win a PL game with him. That way we flog him to a "lower" team and Fergie can buy him back when he starts playing fantastic football for that club as the curse is lifted.

We really, really deserved to win today. James was my MotM for making some cracking saves, but Bent ... that miss was unforgivable. And I'm not happy about Defoe's early chance he blew wide either. Ironically I think that if those two chances had fallen to the other one, they would both have gone in. Defoe did kind of make up for it by getting the equaliser though.

I thought we were going to fall apart completely when Pompey scored, fair play to the lads who got out of the bad patch, grabbed the equaliser and should've got a winner too.
