Not a popular opinion on here cos most of you are English, but he won't come close to reaching his peak sitting in our reserves and if he doesn't up his game quickly then thats all he will do. I don't see him doing it quickly for Poch now if he didn't even get picked before today.

I think over the years we have been so accustomed to pure electric Pace from the likes of Bale and Lennon that anyone lacking pace in our team has come in for a bit of stick. The interchanging between Eriksen, Chadli and Lamela was awesome today and shows you that intelligence and movement is just as effective! Long may it continue!

I agree with you however. he is a player with talent but I for one won't be distraught IF levy decides to cash in on him. I'd rather sell Lennon then andros tbh because he is young and pochettino can easily work on him and his bad traits.

For me its not a debate. If he wasn't English there'd be so many people, on here and in the stadium, that would hate him. I've witnessed it too many times for it to be a debate. Chadli is 3 times the player but last season had so many doubters that it was silly.

Rose has the opposite effect in that he was over hated last season. It just seems like English players have to be loved or hated, no grey area. A few have already mentioned Dier for England. Its funny really.
