Former Blackburn striker Jason Roberts, BBC Radio 5 live summariser at White Hart LaneTottenham v QPR (13:30 BST)
"The question is: What does Mauricio Pochettino have to do to be judged a success at Tottenham? Many people would say he needs a top-four position, but if you look at what other clubs have done in the transfer market this summer, it doesn't look like he has the kind of squad to challenge.

"I don't think he's got the team playing with the high intensity and pressure he had at Southampton. I think that will be difficult with the squad he has."
Just read this bit from Jason Roberts, with the last sentence is he trying to say that we havent got as good a squad as Southampton had last year........! Pundits are genuinely complete thickos at time!!

No, he's saying we don't have the right type of players, not that they're worse.

He may be right. We'll have to wait and see.

I think we are average and have gone backwards.

We were very fortunate against west ham and today I can only see much of the same.

Inept and stale going forward.

FYI in the elbow rooms and will be making my way to the ground in about 15 mins and allmy mates here think the same as me.

Sounds like you hang around with morons.

I think he traveled to Cyprus as well. I think he's one of players refusing to leave the ITK mentioned.

If the MS deal is dead in the water then we'd be stupid to sell him. He's a great guy/personality to have around and hopefully he can start to produce some of the performances we used to see 12-18 months ago.

Jason Roberts is a high functioning retard
Umm Surely Roberts is right? we arent playing high intensity yet in our openting games, and we need to shift a few of these players and get in a few Poch wants, such as MS for this system to work at its best??

Played one premier League game so far. Jesus Christ, how some of these guys are getting paid to voice a so called opinion is ridiculous.

The bit I dont get is how would he know that, Capoue hardly played last season, Bentaleb does press very well, Lamela didnt play last season. I agree with you thought we will find out for certain by mid season.

Because Bentaleb was the reason we lost all those games by 4 or 5...

I think you're seriously underrating Bentaleb. It's been said a lot on the site how good he is and how there's more to come. Yes the top 4-5 sides have better players at the moment but Bentaleb is still good and is going to keep improving. He's ready now for sure.
I rate him, but I was at the lane when city smashed us and he looked like a little lost boy, and up at anfield which I also went to he went missing ! He didn't want the ball and never made a tackle! Then I go to upton park and I watch mark noble run him ragged! He isn't ready to be our central midfielder yet providing we want to get top 4.

It's a bit of a shame that we don't have more pace in the attack. A defensive trio of Dunne, Caulker and Ferdinand is ripe for pillaging.

This is our third competitive match under Poch.

third.

Expecting us to look like the finished article is insanity.

And Dunne is left of the three....he's so ripe for a skinning.

We've been 4/5 last few seasons and this kid has only played a handful of games.
Poor quality post from yourself.
Dembele is a better player and would make us a stronger 11, he is a kid yes but where are the kids running Chelsea arsenal city's and Liverpools midfield ? No fluke is it

I like the team, expecting us to give QPR a beating.
