Fair play Sheffield United - 45 places beneath us - industrious and they went for it.
I'd hope our counter-attacking away form should see us through next week.
COYS.
Side note: Anyone else feel that MoPO is really starting to get his thing going - I even have (red wine) thoughts that players like Paulhino and Dembele might yet come good. (Still bit at a loss for Andros though!)

That was shit we never turned up now we have it all to do there very dissapointing performance.
Poch talked about playing at a high tempo before the game yet we just strolled around during it,luckily they didnt look like scoring so we have got away with it.

Absolutely rubbish. Very disappointed with that. Its not the result... I expected two pretty close games, its just I watched that and got the impression we weren't trying to win... Coz if we were, then we didn't have a clue.

Gonna be a battle next week, one I hope we are up for.

If tonight proves anything, its that we have nothing on the flanks worth taking about. Everything tonight went through the middle, exactly where SUFC would have wanted it. Need to make investment there whether it be this month or the summer. Crying out for genuine wingers.

Can see them nicking it next week. Their ground will be buzzing and I just think the occasion will be theirs.

We could save a lot of money at the new stadium
by not putting backs on the seats,
Who sits back and relaxes?
I spend most of the game on the edge of mine.

To a man we under performed. The lack of imagination in our midfield.

I really hope Ade never plays again. Total waste of space.

The two full backs were utter garbage.

We've made it more difficult than it needed to be.

Their pitch is significantly larger than ours, especially wider. We typically fare much better on the wider pitches.

II'm happy because the result is better than the performance deserved

But I suspect we will have to play much better next week to make the final

Not really gonna complain but should we have been playing the final 15 minutes against 10 men??

Second yellow for deliberate hand ball??

Gotta say that was highly frustrating to watch and a clear showing that some of the players don't possess the intelligence when on the attack. Far far too many bad decisions despite their organised defending.

We won't sign one now but I really hope poch, Mitchell and co are looking at passing specialists in midfield. Eriksen is the closest we have but relies on flashes rather than dictating a game, also he's better in the 10 or Lam role.

So many teams come to the Lane and play like that. Sit deep and frustrate, it's not rocket science once we've been watched a couple of times. We need some more clever players, move the ball quicker and a striker with some serious pace.
