I think the most confusing this is that ade just doesn't contribute to poch's style of play.

It's meant to be high tempo, high pressing stuff which Is essentially the opposite of Ade.

This is why I can't get my head around why he is starting.

This is a must win game in my opinion. A loss here would be a disaster with City looming at the Etihad. We have the superior squad, are at home, and Pochettino in many people's estimation is the superior manager with the all important EPL experience.

Tadic is the player to watch for them. Great dribbler, excellent passer in tight spaces.

We have to match them for workrate. I am not happy to see Adebayor start again despite his lack of effort, would have preferred the in form Kane to start. We really struggled against the pressure of Besiktas with our second team on Thursday, we have to pass the ball better under pressure and work just as hard to win the ball back. Get that right and hopefully we'll have the quality to win.

It's odd to think Soldado has NEVER started a single, solitary game with Eriksen, Chadli, and Lamela in support of him. He also was one of our best players last year in both games against Southampton. It just doesn't seem as if Pochettino rates him all that highly.

So is it that Poch has a ton of faith in Adebayor or does he really not rate Soldado or Kane?

So disappointing, we all know what we're going to get... Half-arsed pressing, unnecessary drifting from up top, poor touches and a lack of belief when played through on goal.
Your assessment sounds harsh but in fact its kind. He looked shell shocked against arsenal, as if he was suffering PTSD from the horrific 5-2 losses.

I actually think Poch is scared to drop Adebayor tbh.

Has to be ade's last chance, surely... genuinely shocked to see him start...

Today's lineup has proven to me Poch is all talk wrt dropping poor players. How Ade is still in the X1 is embarrassing.
