I pretty much agree with all of this other than N'Jie, as we really haven't seen enough of him to judge. He's not looked great so far, but it's his first season at a new club, country and league. He's also young and has had a bad injury. I think it's only fair to give him at least another full season before judging whether he's good enough.
Yea, I said myself it is harsh on N'jie

He's had no time to prove himself

He has, to me though, looked very very poor

Other than having pace he seems a poor footballer and just completely out of his depth

Whether or not he gets sold I think will depend on what Poch and the rest of the staff have seen from him in training

If he has shown enough potential in training I am sure he will be given more time, if he is sold I think that just tells us that he looks just as shocking on the training field as he has done in matches (aside from the monaco game and the end of the Man City home game of course)

bottled vs west brom
bottled vs chelsea
and bottled it today

im so angry and upset - been a very poor weekend for us.

today showed me that we have NO strength in depth.

Mason - no where near good enough
Chadli - no where near good enough
n'jie - early days but see nothing that stands out
Walker - needs to learn to cross first time and not always take a touch.

we were playing better when we rotated the full backs

sorry but its been a bad weekend for me.

I actually think today and the last few games will actually benefit us for us next season because I hope it will dampen expectations for next season. We are a long way from the side that some suggest we are and hopefully talk of us being title challengers now disappears because any side that is 10 points behind the winners isn't really that.
Yeah but lets be honest, it was Leicester City. It was the most freakish seasons in living memory. By your argument, City United, Chelsea and Arsenal are also not to be considered title challengers.

I think moving Chadli requires up to upgrade of course but I think it's an upgrade we need to make

I see his value, he has an eye for goal and he's a big lad who is good in the air and with either foot

I don't think he has the work rate, discipline or team ethic to thrive under our new set up though and I think he represents a key area we need to upgrade moving on to the CL next year
i must admit that...in chinese there is an idiom "exasperated that iron does not become steel", probably is the way i feel about chadli/mason/bentaleb etc.:(

I don't think he has the hunger to get better.

I want players to come in and CHALLENGE for a starting spot. He's too nice Chadli.

Chadli has struggled to keep hold of a place on the bench.

All them flights and professional scouting and all we had to do was look at a Youtube clip.

Shocking attention to detail.

I think he was bought due to his pace. It is common in sports, for those recruitments not to work. Skill matters.

Maybe we did bottle it. But this group of players are kids, with most having zero experience in this kind of season. I don't think it's something to be ashamed of. They will learn. Now the other teams who also bottled it (Arsenal, City, Chelsea etc etc) SHOULD be ashamed of themselves.

There is no argument there, none of those sides including us challenged and whether it was freakish or not Leicester walked the title this season (10 points tells it's own story). No one gave them a challenge and we shouldn't kid ourselves into thinking that we did.

I think all 3 of those mentioned can go on to have good careers at this level (well just short of the level we want to be)

I wouldn't be remotely surprised to see them all doing well in an EPL outfit like Capoue has done at Watford this year

I'm sure selling Capoue and Stamoubli could be viewed as harsh last year too, but it's all part of the difficult decisions we need to make to progress our squad to where it needs to be

None of them are shit, none of them lack quality but none of them (in my eyes) are quite what we need to provide that level of depth we have needed in our squad this season and we will need even more next season for the CL campaign alongside the league

We were fortunate with bans and injuries too this year, we can't risk relying on Demebele and Kane being ever present next season

getting fifth with mason/bentaleb/chadli and getting 2nd/3rd with dier/dembele/alli already says all:(

Shame we have to rely on city to do it for us. Beat Newcastle on a high please

They have more to play for than we do their league status will hinge on this game, so for that reason i expect us to lose.
Our form has tailed right off in the last couple of weeks and i cant see us mustering up the desire to beat these, its all about next year now.

A very meek ending to the season - 2 points in last 3 games and in each game we have been leading. Our defence has become porous again and the lack of genuine cover for Ali & Dembele exposes the weakness of our squad. This must be addressed in the window. I have no confidence against Newcastle which is a remarkable statement given they are staring down the barrel of relegation. I want the season to end, ideally ahead of Arse (!) and we can regroup and take stock with CL on the horizon...

Dammit City - just win this game ffs

How important is that clusterfuck from Ineanacho going to prove when he should have passed to make it 3-1 directly after they took the lead?

About as important as Kane's failure to find Lamela when instead trying to nutmeg the keeper on the stroke of half time? let's hope not
