What I can't get my head around is why the defence is such a mess. Poch was a defender so it seems logical that's what he would correct quicker than anything else, but nope we are looking leakier than a fishing net

Swansea just beat Arsenal, which obviously is a good thing, but when did we last beat a team that we were not expected to, can barely manage to win against those we should beat.

Can someone tell me how the triangle infront of Lloris of Kaboul, Fazio and Capoue was picked? I have no training or certificates in coaching but I can see that is our worst 3 players for them positions in a game at home we must win. Full backs both not good enough so only result I saw coming before the game was a defeat, which inevitably happened?

Massive issue for me is our transfers. The manager should be picking the players he wants. The scouts should report to him and he should be asking the powers that be to get those players, or any alternatives that he provides. It's bloody silly the way we run things, and I'm positive that it's holding us back.

We did it that way when 'he who must not be mentioned' was in charge of the team. You know, the same time we were in the Champions League? Apparently though, Levy in his wisdom does not see the road to success this way, even though it was our most successful period for decades.

Go Levy

He was being rubbished on here every week.

And not without reason. He didn't fit in. I wouldn't take him back now either.

Players who excel at teams like Swansea because the team is built around them won't necessarily be made for a team like Spurs. I know we're pretty dreadful at the moment, but I don't think shoving a Sigurdsson in would solve anything.

Seriously, I feel sorry for MoPo. He has inherited a squad with a lot of below average players and to make things worse for him, the other few average players he has are playing crap as well.
The only few players that do not fall into that category are Lloris, Mason, Kane, Chadli and to a lesser extant Verthongen. Other players who have had some (seldom) good patches are Rose, Eriksen, Kaboul and Capoue. Now that's not enough quality players to put together a good team, is it !?
This brings me to the point where I really believe that we need to give MoPo the time and space to work out a way to rebuild the team again. The question is, how long are we prepared to wait ? or rather, how long is DL prepared to wait before his patience runs out. What is a fact is, we cannot keep sacking our managers and then expect them to work with a bunch of overpaid amateurs who don't seem to give a sixpence if we lose.
Times are lean and very dim. I also know that it hurts us all so, so very much, to see Spurs in this dire situation.
However, sacking yet another manager, is not the solution. It will only make us go further backwards.

He played like Messi today, and i exaggerate not one bit.

The latest in a long line of players the Spurs fanbase ridiculously deemed not good enough for us.

We would be better off this season had we done no business at all in the transfer window. But everyone demands shiny new players are bought in, even if it is to our detriment.

Yeah. Pochettino did pick a bad team today. When you look at the Bench and see Vertonghen, Adebayor, Soldado, Lamela and Dembele, then you see the lack of quality across the starting line-up, you know something has gone wrong somewhere.

But at the same time, the squad has a number of players who probably aren't of the quality we'd like; it has a number of people still finding their feet and who need to be carried; and it has a number of young players with very little top-flight experience. When you factor in how Kaboul and Capoue aren't not exactly playing very well at the moment, there's nothing there. There's no core that can help our new players, our squad players or our young players.

We are getting worse and to top it he spouts the same shit after every game.

I've stopped listening to his interviews. He never seems to answer any questions. It's as if he has rehearsed what he is going to say before the game, regardless of the result or performance.

And thats the worrying thing, those are 3 teams we should be getting points from at home. we've not really come across any decent teams at the Lane yet this season.

I'm dreading seeing us play Man City, Arsenal and especially Chelsea at the lane.

Liverpool have been poor this season but managed to look decent at the lane.

Our shape was terrible. What's wrong with playing with width. There were times we had the ball in our attacking third, four players ahead of the player with the ball. We loose the ball and get caught out time and time again. To predictable and we are easy to defend against hence the not so shocking results we have had at home this season.

With width you change patterns of play and at the same time dragging defenders into areas they don't want to go. I'm gutted and hope things change for the better soonish. COYS

But we are talking about Spurs here and Levy.

£100 million spent and we didn't get a left back, we didnt get a right winger to replace/competition for Lennon. Even now Lamela is being miss used, he needs to be up front in and around the box, not dropping back to the half way line to pick up the ball.

Lamela was not a bad buy, just being miss used, Soldado not a bad buy, just being miss used... And I think this is down to the committee picking the team and formation...

I really think Pooch has his hands tied and no one with half a brain in football keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again even before he was here.

I doesn't matter what shape we have if half the team that is picked can't even find a teammate with 5 yard pass. Today was shite from start to finish.
