Exactly how have we progressed or moved forward as a club?

The quick and easy answer is that, in contrast to the previous two seasons, we are playing football that is entertaining to watch and that creates chances to score goals. As yet, not enough of those chances are taken, but I'm having a far better time watching Spurs since last November than I have since Redknapp left.

And we have done that by promoting players from our youth team. It is more than evident, from the rumblings from inside and outside the club, that Tottenham's youth set-up, after 10 years of bloody hard work and development by the club hierarchy, is started to get noticed for the quality of its output. People are speaking of it in the same terms as Southampton's academy. That's a long way from the near-decade when we had only Ledley King to show for our entire youth system.

If we can harvest another 3-4 players from the current youth team that can perform, at 20-23, at the same level as Bentaleb, Mason & Kane, then that will constitute a huge "move forward as a club", because it will not only pack our first team with motivated, vigorous young players who are already used to functioning as a team, but it will also free up millions of pounds that might otherwise have gone on player-trading, to spend on the overall stadium development.

the big problem are the defenders and not the midfielders, because they do many individual mistakes and isn't the fault of the midfielders!

also the strikers waste the opportunities that the midfielders create!

and we can see it in all the games with different midfielders

for Bentaleb it's not his fault if the strikers that receive his passes and lose the ball and create problems for the midfield and the defence.

and capoue isn't a good defender and often leaves the other defenders do it on their own same for dembele, good pace, but he can't defend. The best is Nabil, he has to do everything, defence, midfield and help the attack, and the others?

If it's said that all the teams score because they pass the midfield, what is the defence for?
Are they on holidays? Are payed to watch the ball going passed them?

Sorry for my English, I'm French.

Thank you

Our last win was against Arsenal and since then we have gone 5 matches without a win. Hence we are due a win but it won't be easy against the Swans.

The team has to step up now and try to win as many points as possible, unless they do that we might end up on a very sour note. I still say that we have had a very good season so far but the final straight to our season, very much depends on our remaining fixtures. Top four, albeit improbable, is still possible. The lads know that they may just have an outside chance.

If we don't make it, it won't be the end of the world. We are on the right track and looking back, we have had a lot of positives. Mainly, the breakthrough and emergence of a few lads from the academy and the consolidation of the newly introduced managing coaching staff led by MoPo, of whom I have been very pleased with.
Onwards and upwards, COYS.

So now Dembele and Lamela are out of the team, despite both playing better than Chadli and Townsend in the C1C. And no rotation from a game 3 days ago.

I haven't criticised Pochettino too much, but, in my opinion, his team selections make no sense, and are, quite frankly, pretty poor some times.

Disappointed at no Dembele to be also. Also the same with Lamela but that's mostly due to me not greatly favouring Townsend at the moment as apposed to thinking Lamela can bring a great deal.
