On the bright side hopefully soon we will have Parker and someone like M'Vila / Moutinho to play instead of Jenas ;)

Too one paced today, it was all 100 mile an hour stuff.

Friedel is far too immobile to play in this team, he created that late pressure by failing to come for a long high straight 60 yard ball that landed barely outside the 6 yard box.

Adebayor looked off the pace as expected.

Under-appreciated part of not having Modric, is late in the game when they're pressing, he can get on the ball and carry it upfield by himself and relieve that pressure.

Maybe some year we will learn and sign our players before the season actually starts. Still we'll sign 4/5 players on Friday 11.59 all of whom won't be able to play against Norwich. Struggling to understand THFC

I liked the way we played until the substitution. Then Lukaku came on and bossed our defence. Adebayor came on and looked off the pace. We didn't clear our lines and the rest is history.

The fact that WBA came back in to the match the moment VDV was taken off shows the contribution he was making. The only creative passer of the ball in our team. He was controlling the midfield out there and offering a range of passing that nobody else can. We lost control of the midfield when we lost him and changed to 4-4-2. Modric is already missed. Do not sell VDV....

Reading comments on here, Defoe has been shown up as not up to the lone striker role. And even more so, swapping to 442 was even worse. Another striker is a must, we need to go all out to sort the transfers this week.
New striker capable of offering presence up top without resorting to shooting on sight every time he gets the ball. (Not Defoe)
New midfielder capable of winning the ball and using it efficiently. (Not Jenas)
What we need is to play more methodically. Players seem to be still making it up as they go. Really disheartened with this game.:(

the problem with jenas is that he takes the momentum out of the performance with his overly negative approach we should call him the crab

The team we had out should have been good enough to beat WBA at home end of fucking story, nothing to do with needing to spend more money, open your fucking eyes people.
