I just realised who else are left in the competition....

So if the games go as they should the semi's would consist of:

Spurs
City
Chelsea
United

Which ever way the draw comes out you're going to have two cracking semi finals...

Que us losing against west ham

And this is why I don't do predictions and my betting form is shocking

Christ 4-4-2 isn't the answer.

4-1-3-2 might be, 4-2-2-2 could be, 4-3-1-2 could be, if it's a flat 4-4-2 I'll stab a bitch.

Funny to think how eight months ago we wanted Ade out and now suddenly he's the messiah. Absence, heart, fonder yadda yadda

So are we thinking this means 442?
Perhaps. It can be quite flexible if played with the right players. Ade isn't really an on the shoulder player like Soldado so he could sit behind and link play. Anything beats the way we have been set up for the last year.

I don't get the negativity. When we used the formation against Liverpool at WHL in the Harry era we won 4-0 as opposed to being battered 0-5

We don't have the right players to make it work effectively. Plus I happen to think it's an outdated formation and it doesn't promote the kind of attacking fluid football I want to see.

I didn't want him out at all. Once he was fit and playing he was very good in the last few games of the season. He is a top class striker and he has a role to play this season hopefully.
At his worst he is better than Defoe who is basically useless.

4 4 fucking 2. I thought i'd seen the back of the damn formation :banghead:

Sherwood has preferred 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 on youth level, but it's not simply about numbers. Given right roles and right players you can play very good football with 4-4-2 too as seen not so long ago. And you can serve utter shite with 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 as seen even more recently.

Couldn't give a flying fuck about formation, if there is return of some basic elements like off the ball movement when we're attacking and some tempo to the game he can field any nice number combination to the field he wants.

3-5-2 anyone?

Chiriches, Fryers, Capoue back three. Walker and Rose doing the wing back gig. Sandro, Eriksen and Lamela with Adebayor and Soldado up top.

I wouldn't mind seeing it to be honest.

For the first time in a while now I am looking forward to watching spurs without a fear of dread!

I think we will perform tomorrow and perform well, I can see a strong performance with pace. Hopefully no pissing around and we just get at em!

Taking both my nephews as well so will be a good game to start playing again
