Fuck i hate West Ham, what's with having the Union flag on their shirts too? Cockwombles!

We really need to play faster, press harder and take less touches when playing at home and FFS stop trying to walk the ball in!

Eriksen needs either a rocket propelled bulldog up his arse or a trip to a sports shrink (who's the bloke that worked wonders on Ronnie O'Sullivan?)

BTW Has anyone found out why they got given a pen (which i'm not sure a sane person can argue that it was anything other than a pen) what was different about theirs compared to the two (i'm sure it was two) that were't given for us for the same offence? If Mike Dean has decided to lay the law down on it (which i don't have an issue with) then he needs to lay the law down on all of them!

Harry Winks was our best player over the 90 i thought, good 3 points much needed result.

Fuck i hate West Ham!

Hey man, what's a cockwomble? I may use it in future insults

Great win and if you want to see anyone care for his shirt, watch Harry Winks' reaction when the final whistle blows. That's what I love.

I also met Ledley King today. Superb moment for me personally.

I saw that too, was like he just scored again. Beautiful to see. Hope he starts again soon!

Lamela, at his best, makes us play faster and press harder. IMHO, of course.

What I found funny (not) about the Spammers pen was that when the BT folk froze the frame to show Janssen's transgression, it looked like one of the spammers was pulling one of our lot's shirt about a yard from his body. Which, of course, begs the question: why weren't we given a free-kick for shirt pulling?

I was all in favour of the oar-thor-it-ees clamping down on all of the argy-bargy that the likes of Leicester were getting away with last season. But it really does seem to be being applied in a very arbitrary way. maybe it is impossible for it not to be because there is so much going on and it is moving so fast. But we could easily have had two pens and, as said, if I saw that right, you could just as easily have made a case for a free-kick to us on their pen. Maybe someone can provide some zoomed in slow-frame on that - see if I saw it correctly (anyway, we won).

I definitely think Harry Winks has been given a watching brief over the last couple of seasons. Apparently Poch really, really rates him - though when I suggested he was one of our brightest young prospects a while back some folk scoffed :)

1: Because you start a thread for every thought that enters your head
2: Cupcakes.
3: Because there's already a Deir thread
4: Because you mostly start these things when they are already being discussed in the match thread
5: Because all of the above means its now policy to lock pretty much any thread you start

Pick one and we'll run with it :D

I do love A & C lol  (in a completely man-love way).

Just watching it again on motd and the winston reid sending off must be the softest bookings you'll see this season.

Funny though obviously!

I kept my cool, but he was a cool guy. Like he was on the pitch, totally un-flustered and smoother than a cashmere cod piece. He was everything a modern legend should be, and meeting one of my hero's was something I will never forget.

Makes all this talk about contract negotiations sway his direction, just pay the man!

Or maybe you're just ignorant of what is going on behind the scenes, stop indicating the club has a problem with this without any knowledge.

Did they say what the 2nd yellow was for?
Didn't look like it was for the foul, I saw verts say something to the ref and then sent Reid off.

Wasn't sure if it was something Reid said to the ref. looked like he told someone to fuck off as he was going down the tunnel

Poch got lucky today. Terrible team selection and tactics given who we were playing.
To be fair missing Toby is a huge loss. And then there's Alli and Lamela not playing plus Kane has been missing.
However Pochs really not helping. Choosing to play Jansen when he's been shite, leaving Son and Alli out. Dropping Dier from dm after he was fantastic for us last season and playing him cb while wimmer sits on the bench after also being fantastic last season just doesn't make sense to me.
Its like we're trying to squeeze in players we bought, Wanyama, that we didn't really need. We've spent lots of money and brought players in who are getting into starting 11 but not fkin 1 of them is better than what we had last season imo.
Said I wasn't going to Wembley cl game after sitting through first 2 but I thought maybe after Arsenal performance. Today I decided no fkin way.
Whats really frustrating is we were good against City and Arsenal and I'm pretty confident we'll do well next week against Chelscum.
Sarcasm?

What a lovely way to wake up, from 2-1 down dredding the work week ahead to a beautiful 3-2 victory.

The funny thing is not many of the other teams have had any where near the amount of injuries to key players that we have had. To still be in the mix after losing Kane for so long, Dembele for the start, Toby and Lamela now. This really does show the squad depth we have and how good a team we are creating.

Toby's injury in a way has been good, because Dier at CB has always been decent, but this year he is looking way more of a CB. A lot better positionally, some great passing, overall a little more mature. Meaning any loss to one of our CBs doesn't mean a complete capulation to our defensive unit which would have happened previously.

When we have everyone fit its a real struggle knowning our best 11.

You have two positions - Wanyama, Dier, Dembele and Winks to fill. Even though this suggestion of Winks being a starter was deemed amusing by some when i posted in our best 11 thread, he adds that clamness and ball playing that the others don't. If you watch him yesterday the one thing he does that the other three don't is when he passes, he moves for a one two. This can really speed up the play. Just watch the game back, as soon as he passes he is on the move, is so subtle but so important.

Then we have the 3 behind Kane. Son needs to start on the left, no where else and Lamela needs a run of games in the middle. That leaves Alli for the right postion or Eriksen, Sis, GKN etc. We could even push Dembele further forward if needed.

Lot's of things to consider. But such a great problem to have. I honestly believe you add either a ridiculous winger to this team (i don't even know who) or Isco and we are set for a long time. Isco / Coric etc, someone like that and the emergence of Edwards would be something very exciting to watch.

We are so far from playing well and 3 points off top.

I'm not sure. I just thought it was because he led with him arm for the header and it was deemed dangerous play. Looked soft on that basis though.

Definitely, at the time I felt that Dean was perhaps booking him as a precaution as he was getting increasing more aggressive in the dying moments.

The key is to start playing well. That we haven't done that in almost all games bar city is a worry! Can't just switch it on. With all players fit we may get back to that. Ali to play behind Kane for a start and Toby back
