I remember standing in the Park Lane way back in 1971/72 for a UEFA cup tie against Keflavik of Iceland which we won 9-0 !

I missed the 9-0 against Bristol in 1977 because I was working but IMO today's win was
the best of the lot - even though I wasn't there today either.

I'll be walking tall tomorrow and grinning like the village idiot.

The biggest margin I remember seeing was 13-2 against Crewe Alexandra.

But today's score will do just fine.

I remember SS said he saw the 10-4 against Everton way back when.

I was also there for the 10-4 win against Everton (Bill Nick's first game in charge), the 13-2 against Crewe, the 9-2 against Forest, 9-0 v Bristol and the 8-1 against Gornik not to mention a 7-2 win against a good Liverpool team, 7-3 over Manchester City and putting 6 past a very good Manchester United team (as well as hitting the woodwork 6 times in that game). But those were in the days when teams were not well organised defensively and high scores were commonplace.

Today was something different. We were very clinical. Doubt if I'll ever witness another score like today.

What a great result to wake up to Oztralia.

Was thinking Keane was going to rain armagedon down on Wigan today but at least someone did it.

Ye that thread made for good reading didn't it. :)

I read most of that thread with a huge grin on my face.

2 points, 1 of their posters said
They do the same thing every year, start off well and then fade badly at the end

I mean, our last 3 seasons? How wrong and misinformed can you be.

Secondly, my favourite bit was some guy saying Harry was an average manager, '1 trophy in 32 seasons of management'

Some genius wrote back - 1 more than us then! That did make me chuckle.

I love the way they think Gomes is dodgy too.

6-1

All with a dodgy keeper

This one though, this one made me smile. :)

It's all meaningless (bar the 3 points and a hell of a lot of gd) but these are the sort of days out that I hope we all get to see in the near future.

Must admit to feeling a bit jealous of Spurs at the moment, which is upsetting because I fucking hate Spurs.

Good to see the goons annoyed too

from arsenal mania

f****g hell, surely it's match fixing? Wouldn't put it pass them with Arry involved.

Btw they are level on points with us, if we don't win next week they will probably be ahead of us...

Only now just caught the Spuds score.

This is going down as one of the/my worst weekends of football ever.

They wouldn't score 8 in 45mins if there was no team to play against. This is a fix, whole Europe is under investigation, IMO yids and manure should be too.

Among much other mindless drivel I can't be bothered quoting.

Just been reading the threads from Bluemoon, quite a few are actually praising us - somewhat kneejerk, but it's fair enough. Then there's complete gush posted like ..

Dont feel jealous of Spurs mate, They do the same thing every year, start off well and then fade badly at the end, Brilliant result for them but still only 3 points at the end of the day.
Middlesborough bet us 8-1, look where they are now! :)

Oh really?

SWP has been about our most exciting player in the past 6 games. Are you just picking on him because he's not a 25million quid plus signing? If we had 6 attacking players willing to have a go at defences as much as SWP we'd be like Spurs and more to the point i'd still rather have SWP than Lennon because he's more consistant.

Shocking post imo.

I think he summed himself up with that last sentence.

Reading a few forums I've seen lots of Spurs fans saying thats it were guaranteed 4th now, who the fuck are City Villa etc

Twats. I hate them so much

More rubbish that this guy has obviously made up. There's quite a few like this, not going to find them all though

One thing that was on Arsemania was that we will probably bring out a dvd, that actually made me think god we probably bloody will. Lennon is only going to get better and better, SWP is a poor man's Lennon all day long.
