Harsh as it may be I’d take Ings and not take up the purchase option on Vinnie. Ings is PL ready ( and quality ), and having 1 year left on his contract should be cheaper than Vinnie.

I will say, he was willing to be a backup at a top PL club once upon a time as well. When he joined Liverpool from Burnley they had Firmino, Sturridge, Origi & Benteke.

Ings would score 25-30 goals a season if he stays fit and plays in a team with Ndombele, Kane, Son and Bergwijn / Neto. The guy is an absolutely leather finisher.

Luka Modrić won Ballon'Dor and he is world class when he plays in CM, good at AMC but much worse than in his natural position and mediocore in LW position. Play Kane as GK and he is suddenly worst player on the planet. Players should give 100% effort even when played in wrong position or when playing for a coach they don't like, but coaches can't expect amazing performances if they use players poorly. And both players and team do better when everyone plays their best position.

Jose said in the same interview if you put Ndombele at RB he would find it hard. You have taken the point he was making way too literally.

He was clearly saying that Ndombele can play as a ten or 8, it doesnt matter.

Ings on the other hand is like having a cross between a striker and Son. He'd be ideal as one of our front three alongside Kane, but imo not instead of.

He'd be mad to come here imo, I could see Chelsea being an option for him. With him being home grown though i'm sure we'd prefer him to Vinicius assuming the price is similar.

I disagree with this, totally. Why would Chelsea be any better than us? They won't play Giroud even though he clearly makes them a better team when he plays.
