Can we all remember we was not only too good to qualify for this trophy but qualify for the slightly better one too.

It’s means nothing to us just like Halifax town winning the FA Trophy doesn’t matter.

I have a strong feeling West Ham will win this and have taken the decision that I just can't cope with watching it and listening to all the hype from the pundits. I had enough of it on Breakfast tv this morning and it will be even worse tomorrow if they win. So, I'm avoiding it and hoping for a nice surprise. when I check my phone nearer the end.
No nice surprise, have to keep away from breakfast tv tomorrow too.

tbh I dont think our team would've handled the nerves or had the character to win tonight though

Ooh I dont know about that. West Ham to me are insignificant, Arse more significant.
But we're used to Arse being better than us. First time in a long long time West Ham fans can take the piss out of us.

All this shows is how much of a pathetic run we had in the UEFA Cup/Europa League campaigns over the late 2000s and early 2010s. You don't need much experience to go all the way in these competitions but we never took them seriously.

We have the piss taken out of us anyway. Had we won this or the EL and maybe a league cup as well in the last 15 years, I'd certainly feel better about things though.

Yeah ...but I can only be honest . You mention Europa league . I feel that's on another level .

Even carabao you're almost guaranteed to have to beat the best team in the world to win .

I understand people will disagree , but I look at the conference league differently. I've been consistent in this opinion ever since we qualified for it.

But anyway . They've won it. Fair play.

Haha they will constantly sing champions of Europe you'll never sing that to us for years and years to come until we happen to win one
Yeah but they aren’t the champions of europe at all, fair enough it’s a trophy but it’s the third tier of Europe.

it’s like the championship team coming up to the prem and singing champions, champions to other prem clubs after winning the championship.

Worse than arsenal winning the league.

Arsenal and Chelsea are bigger clubs so it’s expected that they are more successful but West Ham should always be smaller than us.

Now more successful than Tottenham with all its world class facilities over the past 15 years.

Punchline or world football.

The mentality at this club is awful & it all stems back to one man.

You think that's going to stop them?

If they'd just won the FA Cup I would have been absolutely pissed, I'm more annoyed we played like Fiorentina did tonight against Milan.

They took it seriously and won it. We didn’t and we didn’t. Those of us that live in or around London will have family and friends that are West Ham. Just be glad for them but do your best to avoid ’em.

Sigh. Just wish we took stuff more seriously and didn’t think everything was “beneath” us. You tell that to their fans and players right now. Celebrating. That’s what we’d be doing but every season we were in “lesser” competitions we messed about or this season some of us didn’t even want to qualify. Jokes.

This is horrible. But let’s not pretend we wouldn’t all be delighted to have won this competition. It’s a cup, might not be the most glamorous but it’s still a European trophy.

Silver lining is they’ll keep Moyes now and I reckon they’ll be in a downward spiral from here on out.

I get that, the thing is I really dont know any West Ham fans so personally it has no effect on me. I know they can come to ours and take the piss and listening on the radio and on youtube etc but really - to me that is all noise.

Ultimately if they take the piss - then it is our fault for not winning enough to begin with - which we drastically need to correct

No disrespect to west ham but think about it though, if we were in the europa conference then by our standards we'd be in a bad place. Ergo should we reach the final we'd probably have limped there with a disfunctioning, demoralised team.

But it's kind of depressing that we go into most of these important matches in utter disarray, hence why we lose more often than not and give such a pathetic account of ourselves. When we played in the biggest club game in the world, our team was in relegation form, and we gave away a penalty immediately. Would be nice to approach these matches with some momentum.

Well done to West Ham, good for them. Took it seriously and now they have European glory to celebrate.

All this result does is expose the utter travesty that has been 15 continuous years of Spurs throwing away winnable European tournaments. We could've won the Conference League in its inaugural season, we could've won the UEFA/Europa League if we'd taken it seriously. But no, played the kids, played the B team, always prioritised the league.

The same can be said for the domestic cups, which we've treated with utter contempt for years now.

We act like we're too big to win trophies. We must be the only football club on earth which actively tries to avoid winning certain tournaments. And it's everyone who's to blame. Managers - Poch in particular, players - who always seem totally indifferent, and of course ENIC and Levy, who have instituted such a culture of acceptance of failure in the club that it has become part of our "DNA" as COYS Daniel loves to say.

15 years of acceptance of failure, of resting on our laurels, of thinking we're too big and too clever to have to actually win things.

This win should have everyone associated with Spurs hanging their heads in shame.

Does make me laugh how English pundits and media have mocked this trophy for years and now an English side wins it, all of a sudden it’s what every child should aspire to want to be in 🤷‍♀️
