In times past it would not have been unusual for a coach/manager to throw out ultimatums if threatened with losing their 'stars'. I don't sense this with Ramos and he may feel it clears a few roadblocks for him. Berbatov was always gonig to leave after our EPL 11th and Keane was not pleased playing 65 minutes per game. Would this season have been any different for him? Ramos can continue to build his 'own' team for Spurs.
Levy on the other hand will have a different perspective. He will have been rehearsing the Berbatov / United responses all year. He may even be secretly pleased about the scouse approach for Keane.....the tricky thing for him is not to smile especially in front of the Spurs fans who own the Keano shirts. 20million? He will be chuckling inside. This valuing of Keane is ridiculas.....he just can't admit it.
Levy will continue to be angry/hurt all the way to the bank while Ramos works hard to bring in replacements.
