We basically spent 5 m in the window and got a lot more in. Wtf:shrug:
Just not good enough. We should have pushed the boat out for a defender. We will pay the price. Ada our only attacking signing and 2 attackers out?? Wasn't attack our biggest failing last year?

Another bad window, sorry

We play with one up front typically. A rotation of three means we have enough strikers, so long as they can all play that role.

its not been a bad window for me, that said it could have been better. said elsewhere but our aims for the window were to keep our big players (Luka, Bale and VDV) which we have. We also wanted a top striker and we have that. We have also strengthened in the midfield. At the start of the window not many people thought we needed a CB but with the links to Cahill and the poor start to the season people then thought it was a necessity. Anyhow, most of our aims have been met and who knows what may happen in the last 45 mins!

We still have more players than squad spaces at the moment. Hopefully that will change in the next half hour.

looks like a fairly poor window with 30 mins to go

losing/lost palacios and Jenas when we are short of midfielders, bringing in just parker

lost crouch (not that i care)

hutton and bentley out which is good

probably unsettled bassong even more by late bodged attempt to get cahil and sell him to qpr

considering the injuries we have, i would say we are the much weaker than we were at the end of last season.

this is what happens when you leave it last Mr Levy, will he ever learn i wonder

So we should always spend more than we get back to make it a good window?

We did push for Cahill, but for what they wanted (£15-£18m i think was said) for a player who's contract is running out it was never going to happen.

If Crouch goes, yes we have got rid of 2 strikers and brought 1 in, but one of the strikers wasn't even part of last years squad. Bringing in a striker to replace Keane would be pointless.

Having Parker in gives up someone (along with Sandro) who can get stuck in to win the ball back. This will only help the defense out, as so far this season our CM have not protected the back line at all.

So why did it take till deadline day for us to work that out?

Arsenal found Metesacker for 8m. Why couldnt we get someone? Our scouts are awful.

not so sure about that!

we have modric, huddlestone, sandro, parker, livermore with Kranjcar who can also play there (with the right player). You need to remember there is a limit on the number of players you can have in a squad!

The only thing im disappointed in is that we didnt get Cahill in and get rid of Bassong

unless he has proved himself in the prem league then no chance would we sign someone abroad for big money, thats not how harry and his scouting team roll

modric who doesnt want to be here, huddlestone who is injuried, unfit and not that great, sandro who is out for a while, niko he is rubbish in the middle and should never be played there again, and jake livermore:-|

Daniel Levy let us down this window.

Parker and Adebayor are both good signings and it was good to clear a lot of the surplus players from the wage bill.

Keeping Modric was big but who knows how he will play from here on out and the fact is we have not strengthened as much as our rivals and we were already outside the four CL places.

To me it shows a lack of ambition and we have been let down this window.

Wilson out Parker in

Crouch out Adebayor in represents the extent of our real business.

The rest was basically a free transfer, some youngsters and a bunch of surplus players being sold or loaned. Good for business maybe but not good enough in footballing terms and I am disappointed by this window and disappointed in Levy.

We have fucked it again why do some people keep supporting levy, this **** has to fuck off.
For 3 windows now our chairman has let us down by standing still as he seems to think once you make it into the top four you don't need to add to the squad.
There has to be something more to all of this we have failed in Cahill bid when we get good money for crouch Harry has been let down in receiving no support from levy I feel angry and dismayed with the club as we have no chance of reaching top four in the near future I think Stoke have more chance of finishing above us, we won't make top 6.
Total bollocks from levy and his shit board.

We are considerably weaker in midfield. A few injuries and it's curtains.

Hope Ade is feeling fit.
