That was more because they actively closed the game down in the second half. Who wouldn't? We still didn't manage many shots on goal in the second 45 because they did that.

Bottom line is I hope we can win our remaining games in the relatively easy run in and that other top-6 teams drop points in their relatively harder ones. We are only 8pts off second. That should galvanize the team and Spur us on (excuse the pun) - but on current defensive form (and goalscoring form for that matter) it looks unlikely.

I'm not totally unhappy with where we are. It was looking distinctly like a transitional season Based on our first third of the season but now I'm delighted we are not in the bottom half of the table actually - but we can do better.

Whether we actually will remains to be seen.
They did actively close down the game, but as we had to go after the game they should have been able to attack us more. All that happened was that they protected their lead, but we also had our heads screwed on better. We did actually have three good opportunities, but only Kane's shot was on target; the other two were when Mason parted the defence, and when Dembele skied a good chance from a Rose cutback.

And letting in three goals at home to bottom of the table Leicester is yet another chapter which makes us so unconvincing for top-4. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we won but our crap defence is essentially why we won't get top-4 and a major priority for the manager to sort, clearly.
