I think it's spot on, but I'm a pesimistic so and so. Spurs have only signed about 20 players in my life time that I've wanted.
Would prefer Doyle if I had the choice.

The thing is, in Capello`s eyes hes obviously behind Crouch, Defoe, Bent & Heskey, which doesn`t exactly inspire confidence.....
YES. Doyle has looked superb in an uninspiring team. Would much prefer him to Cole.
Was thinking this myself but it seems we are going after bigger fish.
He's a work horse. Not the big big signing that some are expecting, but he is a good player. Everton are interested in him though apparently.
Shall see what happens.
Sorry had a day out today so I've only just seen it...
Just to put some more credence to my above comment...
I would be bitterly disapointed if this was true. He is the 'type' of striker we need but is certainly below the standard of quality we should be aiming for. Plus he wouldn't come that cheap and has 17 for injurys of football manager.
I'd rather us take a gamble on another Dzeko like Wolfsberg did for £4m a few seasons back...or just buy him now for £24

I hope it's true. Will give us options! Maybe this could mean that we won't try and get Gudjohnson though, if Pavlyuchenko is definately on the way out, as there wouldn't be room for them all!
I'd be happy with a strike force of Dzeko, Defoe, Carlton Cole, Peter Crouch, and Robbie Keane.
Irrelevant, but what is ledley's?
mg: How can you contemplate using Ledley as a comparison for Carlton Cole, even for this they are not on the same level.Irrelevant, but what is ledley's?
