I think it's spot on, but I'm a pesimistic so and so. Spurs have only signed about 20 players in my life time that I've wanted.

Would prefer Doyle if I had the choice.

YES. Doyle has looked superb in an uninspiring team. Would much prefer him to Cole.
Was thinking this myself but it seems we are going after bigger fish.

Was Kenwyne Jones available? Off to Chelsea perhaps?? :bang:

Hope it's not true, at best a sideways move, and probably a downgrade if he's replacing Pav.

He's a work horse. Not the big big signing that some are expecting, but he is a good player. Everton are interested in him though apparently.

Shall see what happens.

also scored quite a few in a front two for reading. Suits him better than him being the lone striker I think

I would be bitterly disapointed if this was true. He is the 'type' of striker we need but is certainly below the standard of quality we should be aiming for. Plus he wouldn't come that cheap and has 17 for injurys of football manager.

I'd rather us take a gamble on another Dzeko like Wolfsberg did for £4m a few seasons back...or just buy him now for £24

I don't believe this for a second. All the noises Harry has been making is that he only wants to make a couple of top-quality additions to the squad. Cole doesn't fit that billing.

I hope it's true. Will give us options! Maybe this could mean that we won't try and get Gudjohnson though, if Pavlyuchenko is definately on the way out, as there wouldn't be room for them all!

I'd be happy with a strike force of Dzeko, Defoe, Carlton Cole, Peter Crouch, and Robbie Keane.

Pre Liverpool Robbie,,,,,yes
Post Liverpool .......... Jermaine Defoe

a. Not the same plyer
b. Not the same feeling for him after he walked away for the team he loves.

We nearly signed him for FA a few years ago, mind you he's good at threading a ball through for JD.

Worse than all our current strikers.

Who next? Anton Ferdinand?

Cole is West Hams level, not ours.
