Whoever it is, the sooner he's gone the sooner the club can start saving the 50,000 per week (that's 2,600,000 per year, folks) he is getting for nothing. Scandalous.

One team with dosh is Birmingham and lets face it if they were willing to pay £9m for Babel it must make even Pav worth £20m.

Problem is even if Birmingham wanted him and that it would be a really good move for him, I've got a feeling that Bentley wouldn't consider going there because he believes he is better than that.

Regardless of the fact that Birmingham are an excellent side right now and are likely to get better after this window you just know that Bentley wants the glamour.

Shame really, Bentley never made the step up that we'd hoped - if he had then we'd be flying around the number one spot by now and maybe even have made Europa last season.

Can't help thinking that he is to blame though.

I'm sure Harry felt this at the end of last season too and it's hardly news that we are in talks.

What is it with ITK these days, it gets increasingly scant and predictable?

I don't see us being able to command a guaranteed fee of more than £9 million say, you'd assume Levy will then try to maximise the add ons for another £2 or £3 million at least.

I'd accept that, it's just best he moves on and tries to salvage his career. A shame as I was happy when we'd signed him but he never really delivered and Lennon has been brilliant in the last year.

We can't expect to get back the £15 million we spent on him.

Who is in for him? Birmingham, Sunderland possibly. Struggle to see who else as there may not be much money about for a lot of teams and can't see the likes of Villa and City being in for him.
