BBC are reporting Hutton has gone: that makes 1 RB for CL push, right? I know we trust in. etc etc, but still....

harry has lost the plot or we are skint if he has let our two right backs go left us short of goalkeeper cover and now let someone as influential in the dressing as keano go. This is not the best time of year to be letting a proven premiership goal scorer go considering we are supposed to be fighting for 4th. Think we can kiss 4th goodbye very backward steps imo.

I think that unless a Club has paid us a loan fee for the player, we always reserve the right to call them back at short notice, don't we?

Can't imagine harry would allow both RBs to go unless he knew he can call one or other back if the need arises

There is no deadline for free agents, so guess it will be one of these if any half decent experienced ones are available. Think we need one better than Walker and Alnwick.
Anyone know of any? :bang: lol

Looking more and more like this transfer window is a disaster. I was so delighted when I heard we were making a serious consideration for Kjaer, Sandro looked still a real possibility, Huntelaar was still as well, and Loach looked a promising youngster to add on...

But this end result can't help out chances to get top 4.. AT ALL!!

well harry/danny have let us go through the window without getting a keeper in - so i don't know I'm so confident about the RB call backs

and yes overall both have adone a good job and i back them both - but really no GK -WTF?

Indeed. Any sort of medium-long term knock to Gomes or Charlie and we are fecked.

As for recalling loans, it all depends on the terms I believe. Some can, some can't.

I'm sure if Gomes got Injured we would be allowed an emergency Loan...

Also Kaboul has been played at right back several times for pompey for the last 15-20 minutes in games they are losing.

why are you sure about that

we have alnwick, jansson and walker at least on our books i believe

why won't the FA/PL turn round and say play one of them?

Isn't Jannson still on a youth contract? (i think he is out on one of our youth loans where the players come back) and i'm sure we could retire off Walker at short notice (with a little sweetener  )

possibly - but can we rely on it - should we be relying on it?

we're a multi-million pound company not some dodgy back street operation

Bearing in mind the Pompey situation and the fact that they keep failing to pay wages, David James could be a free agent (ie. Pompey breach his contract by failing to pay him) pretty much any time he wants to be, i think .

Could suit all parties if Gomes were to get injured and James became free. Would he be allowed to sign for us in that situation?

I'm positive the administrative team at Spurs would know the possibilities, and if it was not possible we would have pulled out the stops for one of the three keepers we were linked with... wouldn't we?

That shouldn't be hard!

This is a weird window, either they totally fucked up, or they had a lot of deals that they thoght were nailed on that didn't happen - GK seems like one of them, but RB is just really really strange, I know Kabul is a "back up" but he is haerdly an "option" like Hutton was in some games to add width etc, and if Corluka gets injured would you want to play an out of position CB for the rest of the season, if that was the case why bring in Kabul at all, I mean Corluka can play CB also......just makes no sence!

well that could be the 64 million dollar question if it cost us CL and the possibilities that could open up

gomes came fro a cross and Corluka lost a man at the back post. no signing in the window would have prevented those thongs happening from two players none of us would seriously replace. the transfer window activity or lack of it won't make any differnece to us finishing 4th. We won't we'll be 6th.
