Oklahoma State still have a chance though. If they crush Oklahoma next week then the style points & the fact that 'Bama won't be playing might help them get extra votes. The voters tend to have very short memories.
Also, congrats to LSU. Today I think they have wrapped up the AP National Championship.
The BCS system is so stupid and needs to be replaced with a playoff system. The fact that it's still possible for 'Bama to make the national championship game instead of LSU is retarded.
I'm looking forward to the Houston-Southern Miss game for the C-USA. Houston will win but it should be a high scoring game.
UCLA is just a sign of how woeful the PAC-12 South is. Once USC gets past its sanctions they will have no trouble making the PAC-12 championship game every single season.
The Big East is a bloody mess with BYU already stating they ain't interested in joining & they're now looking at Houston, SMU and UCF. Surely they have to lose there automatic BCS bowl spot?
The PAC-12 South should get better if Rich Rodriguez can do what he did at West Virginia with Arizona.
Can't imagine The BCS giving the Big East automatic entry when the contracts change over.
The BCS did mention they may only pick the National Championship teams and have not automatic qualifiers so there would be 8 at large picks. Would still be a flawed system.
So Urban Meyer has gone to Ohio Sate, will interesting to see what comes first, a National Championship or his health deteriorating so bad he has to resign again.
Also it looks like Dan Mullen is heading to Penn State.
Greg Mattison is already at Michigan.
Florida's National Championship Coaching staff is heading to the B1G.
So the PAC-12 has the embarrassment of having their press conference for their first ever championship game being dominated by the news that one of the head coaches in the game has been sacked.
