According to this report,Wolfsburg also seems interested in Janssen.

There will definitely be interest from other clubs for this lad. Especially given his age and already an impressive goalscoring record.

It all comes down to where he would like to play and also the amount of game time he will get.

I think with the squad we have and the direction we are going it will be hard for him to turn us down.

He looks quick, sharp and strong.
Just imagine what he'll be like when Poch has finished with him.

Come on, Poch is not Wenger. If it was Wenger, I'd imagine he'll look like Lawrence of Arabia; tossed out in the street after he's been finished with.

The Standard are reporting that we're close to an agreement for £10.5m...

Anywhere around that figure would be pretty astonishing business in the current market.

Hmmmm... I've never seen this guy play so I can't work out if he's better than the other guys we're interested in that I haven't seen play. Saying that it sounds like a good deal so fingers crossed.

Not sure about this fella as i dont know much about him but we have to trust the recruitment team on this.
I would guess that some fans might be dissapointed slightly with some of the signings that may come in as they appear on the surface ordinary and low key.
Where as with the season we just had and entry into champions league some might have been looking for slightly more stellar names, but with the Black box of tricks and club policy we are to expect more of the same.
This is an observation by the way not a moan off.

Lol great bit of business by Levy IF this happens

When you see Lacazette and Michy being hawked about at £30m+ and PEA going for double that, a striker who has the potential to be as good as them if not better is a bargain at £12m
Don't understand this figure of 12
Mill? Are AZ idiots? Doesn't make sense. Memphis scored similar goals and went for 30 million. Who can they get for 12 mill who will score 27 goals for them next year? I think the figures way off.

The player he is right now is one thing, the player he can become is another. Lets not judge solely on the player he is and rule out the idea of improvement under Pochettino.

Holy catshit. One minute @Nigel Spinal is actually liking a player, then the next minute you actually post a sensible, non- piss taking post.

This place is changing :cautious::p

That's the interesting point for me, Janssen was the Dutch league's top scorer, but not from one of the usual historical powerhouses like Ajax, PSV or Feyenoord.
The fact Poch has openly watched him, and now the interest being ramped up has gone public, makes me believe he is actually wanted, rather than panic buy.

Can't compare them. Different players - Different league.
Both Internationals.

Rise of Janssen from bit part striker playing in 2nd tier Dutch league to no1 Dutch league scorer has happnned in a year. Already won 5 caps for country & scored 3 times (England, Poland, Austria - more than decent sides)

So, why should Batshuayi be any better than him ?

Duh, will cost at least twice as much. Obviously makes him the better option ;)
