For me, the funny thing is that some plumber from Croydon (example) actually believes he can offer Levy tips on negotiating.
Its fucking gold.

Depends on what variables the negotiator considers important, and what type of negotiator he is.
It's clear that "time" is not an important factor for Levy. Maybe for real estate that's not a problem. For football it is. So I guess even a plumber could offer tips

This starting tonight thing. Could it just be for fitness/sharpness?

Either way, is it not somewhat odd to risk injuring a player who could potentially be bringing upwards of £17mil into the clubs coffers?

It's not odd if they havent received any new bid in the past week after they rejected the first bid.

Meh. Musacchio didn't play in few friendlies in 2014 and everyone thought it was close. And nothing happened. Same with Berahino last year.

It suggests it isn't as close as various reports implied it was last night but yeah, doesn't mean it's dead in the water either.

Yeah that's fair enough. It's just the fact that the player & his representatives are (seemingly) expecting another bid, so I just find it a bit risky on AZ's behalf, that's all. As someone pointed out earlier on the thread, £17mil is a LOT of money to a team in the Dutch league.

I can't make head or tails from the conflicting reports
What would AZ gain by lying they had a bid accepted as the ITKs say? They already signed a new striker

Which ITKs have said we've had a bid accepted? All I've seen are certain media outlets say we are going to bid their asking price this week.

Then don't read gossip, rumours and hearsay. Also take all ITK with a pinch of salt. But people don't do they, they take everything as gospel then wet their knickers and make themselves look stupid when things aren't progressing as fast as they want.

Hahahahahah? Did you see the stuff with Ibra this summer? Or the amount of time City tried to sign De Bruyne last year? What about Real Madrid and United over De Gea? There's was loads of different stuff being said about Vardy to Arsenal for weeks.

Absolute horseshit that we're the only team that have 'soap operas' with transfers.

No, you are right. They didn't. This must mean something else.
Been told by the end of week, everything agreed just signing on the dotted line to be completed
I have little doubt he will be signed soon

We have solved everything, bar making an offer

So I guess the AZ chairman is right, and so is JJ who said he was not close. And that's why he's playing tonight for AZ

The reason he was held out of their friendly a few days ago was probably because they were expecting another bid. No other bid has come. So they are playing him today. They cant proceed based on something that hasnt happened. Right now, they have to proceed as if the player will be with them this season since he hasnt been the subject of an offer for a bit.

The question that should be asked is what Levy has been doing for the last week.

The first goal was scored by Brezancic, not Janssen.

The translation of "na een misser van Janssen opnieuw" is "following a miss by Jansen again".

EDIT: Turns out Google translate and Flashscore are both wrong then lol
