Could be a funny joke in reality, but since Janssen has hardly played so far this season I for one will reserve sarcasms until he has properly been given a few matches.Cleaner?
Appreciate the sentiment but I'm struggling to see what Janssen has done to inspire so much loyalty from a proportion of our fans. He's been brought in, for a decent amount of money and it's clear he doesn't cut it at this level. His link up play is okay but he never looks like scoring and that is a massive flaw for someone who is supposed to be the back-up for our main striker. I've got nothing against the guy, he works hard, but I don't see how it's going to work for him at this club. We've either seen the best of him or he needs to be playing week in, week out to show what he's capable of - which isn't going to happen.Janssen is, despite vocal haters amongst Spurs fans, welcome at the club and I believe has a role to fill this season that is other than being sold.
I simply believe it is premature to write him off. A young, international forward, I've always stated that I'd happily give him two seasons hence another year of full support, and I have not changed my view. I'd love for him to stay this season, and revisit this debate next summer.Appreciate the sentiment but I'm struggling to see what Janssen has done to inspire so much loyalty from a proportion of our fans. I think that's the point, cdu. Whereas Son took his chances and scored some goals as a sub, even if he did that Janssen is never going to displace Kane and get a starting place. How really is he going to play himself into any kind of form if he gets 2 minutes' pitch time every other week?I think he'd come good with a run of games but seems unlikely to get that with us.
I think poch would prefer a backup striker that can also play wing/inside forward role to give more flexibility eg martial or balde
Itk recently suggested a new forward player could come at a loss to us and people assumed rose to manure but I reckon selling Jansen is the loss.
Not sure what people expect. He is back-up to one of the best strikers in the world, plays in patches or in 10 minutes here or there. He's a good player and if he doesn't make it with us, he will elsewhere. There's a reason he's Holland's number 9.
So unnecessary comment, given that he actually consistently performs very well for Holland, regardless of what you believe is the reason for why he is picked.Because Holland is enduring the worst generation of football talent in its history?

Of course it is. Let's face it, you haven't got a clue about Dutch football.
Anybody on this forum declaring that Janssen is "shit" or any other variation of the word is being ignorant - it's impatience and unrealistic expectations towards a young foreign player coming to England and playing second-fiddle to the most undroppable player in the league.
This is Spurs so you better believe we'd do it.Either lazy journalism or we have a replacement lined up
There is no way we would sell vj and not have cover for Kane

I'd be interested in loaning him to WBA, that way we know for sure if he can cut it in the PL with regular games, reported fees (£30m for him and Wimmer) are sounding like a loss already so not much of a risk.
You'd assume we were pretty confident of another attacker if he did leave however.
