He's still developing and TBH I don't understand or agree with the amount of stick he gets on here. When Bale first arrived people were coming in their pants about him, then it went a bit downhill and people were saying pretty much the same about Bale as they are about Walker these days. I'm not saying he's going to develop into another Bale, but he's certainly going to be a very very good player IMO. Give him a break.
As for him dragging Lennon down with him, I disagree. It would have helped if Lennon didn't constantly put himself behind Demspey instead of in front of him, which IMO slowed us down a lot on that side of the pitch. Whose fault? Dempsey or Lennon?
