Saturday has always been really busy when I've been, but I guess nobody goes on the other days.

I never had a good night betting down there.

The last time I went I wagered £10 on every race, lost all 13 on the card.

But the grub was ok FWIW

I owned dogs at, White City, Wembley, Catford, Oxford, Aldershot, Reading and some other places that i forget.
Walthamstow is the best betting track by far, but White City was my favorite, probably cos it was just down the road from me!

TCO, do you remember the tracks at Southall and Heathrow?

Soz, I don't remember them ones, we have a flapping track at Harlow but I 've not been there.

I remember always seeing Stan Bowles down at the WC
with all his hangers on.

My old mans dogs were trained up at Northaw Kennels nr Potters Bar, the trainers he parked them with were Frank Melville, Tommy Foster and Paul Smith.

That place was sold off 20 odd years ago and is now a swami temple complex. (Krishna and all that)

Sad news, I used to have a dog that ran at Walthamstow. Only ever won once, but I was over the moon. Was a beautiful dog too.

Damn. A genuine end of an era.

Used to love going to the doggies at Brighton/Hove and Nottingham. Must have been awesome to have owned one/some.

It is expensive, and then really expensive when the vet bills start coming in, and if you have a bitch then you miss racing time because of her coming into season, unless you have it supressed!
But it is a great feeling when your dog wins a race!
