Which is exactly what Ferdinand said

Then what is the point Ferdinand is trying to make? Every single holding midfielder in the world is joining the attack from time to time. So you don't see any differance in how City usually use their midfielders and how Chelsea is playing today?

Because we never have a tactican like Mourinho

Tim, our brilliant tactician decided to play a green physically undeveloped 19 year old along side a non natural dm against one of the premier leagues best attacking side.

The football novice Mourinho decides to delpoy two beasts of dms against City and look whats happening.

I hope Timmy who is still a bit wet behind the ears is watching and learning.

Dont need dms my arse.

I think Chelsea's performance highlights how important Sandro will be to us an a midfield option once he returns

He was making the point that defensive midfielders do more than just sit in front front of the back 4 all game, like Makelele used to

Chelsea on top today no question but it's only HT

Indeed, embarrassing line of thought from sherwood and Ferdinand.

Can't stand mourinho but he is a master tactician, really had city's number. Wish our next manager has that real edge

Be a big city response coming up, see how he handles it

It looks easy the way chelsea have stifled city's attacks with 2 holding cm's, but JM has drilled these guys hard. Hate to admit it, but so far a tactical masterclass from Chelsea.

Id like to see Sherwood try something similar with Sandro and Capoue/Nabil, but we lack that tactical discipline.

Thing is in my eyes Sandro, Capoue and Paulinho is every bit as good as Matic, Luiz and Ramires but Hazard and Wilian shit all over Eriksen and Lamela.

We lack that attacking spark but I still think we could be successful with this formation. Thats one of the reasons I was a supporter of AVB. Shame that it didnt work out.

Isn't demichelis just holding. Hasn't done a great job really. What Ferdinand said was it's all well and good if you got someone who can play that position well but teams got obsessed by putting a 'holder' in there who just stood on the centre halves toes.

Eriksen and Lamela can have the same impact for us but the system needs to be ideal.

Its weird that we actually have one of the best young players in the world but no one is excited about it (for various reasons).

At the moment, an away masterclass by Chelsea (as much as it pains me to say it).

Should be out of sight - City's defence at 6's and 7's.

We need a system like arsenal that can let our flair players control the game, no manager has come close to doing that so far!

City look vulnerable without Aguerro, as did they against us

Kompany is pissed off at his midfield.

Dont think I have ever seen Yaya play so lazily.
