Exactly, said the same in the ratings thread. Wasted a great chance by thrashing at it, and also got himself skanked by Gibbs once. But at least showed some heart and desire, on a day when many just didn't apply themselves properly.

And Friedel made two fabulous saves and maybe I'm being harsh but I thought he was a bit leaden footed for both the first two goals, neither of which went down the edges, both went in quite central.

Eh? Van Persie's went in right in the corner. Sagna's header was a very good header. Don't blame Friedel for either. Just our luck for Sagna and Rosicky to score their first goals of the season!
