Can we just completely fuck Wembley off? Fuck the place. Gent? Fucking awful result over two legs.

Next season is going to be a nightmare

I think we will have a similar season to what West Ham have this year. It will take us 3/4 months to get used to playing there by which time it will be too late and we will be mid table. I expect us to finish between 9th and 12th next season. It's going to be a massive disadvantage.

Whatever some may think, Daniel Levy is a clever bloke and knows enough about the game to see that WHL has become a fortress this season, our away form has dipped, and Wembley has been a disaster. He will have discussed it at length with Poch who , deppite public announcements, will almost certainly not want to play league games their next season and he will have read and listened to pundits' views which are growing louder after every match. I still retain a small sliver of hope that he has been delaying signing the deal, for us to go on a run in the EL to justify the decision and that there may still be a chance of signing something with MK Dons or, perhaps, Fulham or another London club.

Would sooner finish 17th in the league next year than play at MK Dons. Fuck them and their franchise football right in the ear.

We need a proper fans petition and protests begging Levy not to play our league games at Wembley. Or mid table it is next year.
The money he will lose from match revenue at a smaller ground he would make up if we made CL again etc.
Plus, players will then get their heads tinted if we are mid table and we want CL footy for our new ground.
Anywhere else please
Charlton
Fulham
Brentford
QPR
MK dons etc etc. Anywhere but Wembley. Please

And the sad irony is that it will be those who were most pro Wembley that will be calling for Poch's head.

Isn't all pretty much done with Wembley? Poch said we will be playing there. Why is this even being discussed?

We won't base our decision to play at Wembley next season on the argument that we don't seem to play well there.

If we chose not to play there, what message would that give for when we reach semi finals and finals being played at Wembley? We'd have already lost before we even stepped onto the pitch.

We're trying to build a winning mentality. Suggesting to the footballing world that playing at Wembley affects us does the opposite.

The trouble is that the opponents raise their game and it just isn't like a normal home match. It would be different for an FA Cup because that is what Wembley is supposed to be - a neutral ground.

But when we're playing there in a final it will be a neutral venue. The issue with Wembley is that's it's impossible to homificate - I.e. make a place where you have a distinct home advantage. This would be true of every team. Chelsea will discover this if they go there.

Why though? If we went and played at Fulham would it not be like an away ground too?

I see this alot and I agree that teams raise their game

But, and many apologies for the caps,

WHY THE FUCK CAN'T WE RAISE OUR OWN GAME? Why can others but we can't.

It would only take a couple of games to make it a home from home. With Wembley, it's the distance from the pitch, the shallowness of the stands, the bowlness uniformity, the terrible acoustics. It sounds like an indoor swimming pool.

I'm not sure Gent raised their game today did they? We couldn't take our chances and they scored both theirs.

Not really sure we can blame Wembley for that

We need to go to MK Dons next season imo.

Allv opposition teams will raise their game for Wembley.
Wembley is too big and open to keep an atmosphere going throughout the game except in one off Cup finals where all the fans are massively up for it.
Wembley is so big it's sure you have loads of day trippers.

MK Dons is so similar to WHL in interior size and style, it would be a real home from home.
The majority of our fans live in the home counties and can get to MK almost as quickly as they can to WHL.

Think we would be through if this game was at the Lane. We need to adapt quickly if this is where we are next season, right now I'm a little worried - is it the size of the pitch?
Our style of football?
Are the away teams more up for it?
Is it the atmosphere?
is it the players mentality? Is it ours?
Or a combination of them all? I'm not sure I've heard lots of theories but it's in everyone's heads now and that's what worries me most.
We have a chance to put things right and a serious point to prove in the FA cup now!
Adapt and quickly! COYS

Just got home from the game - M1 as big a disaster as game itself.
Definitely more atmosphere tonight - think the 20mins later ko meant some had time for a bit more to drink.
Did notice lots of kids today and father with 3 in front of us did not return for 2nd half.
Still dont like the ground and have major concerns for next year.
