If we replicate our Wembley form this season to next, we have a genuine shot at the Championship.
Can we just completely fuck Wembley off? Fuck the place. Gent? Fucking awful result over two legs.
Next season is going to be a nightmare
I think we will have a similar season to what West Ham have this year. It will take us 3/4 months to get used to playing there by which time it will be too late and we will be mid table. I expect us to finish between 9th and 12th next season. It's going to be a massive disadvantage.
The trouble is that the opponents raise their game and it just isn't like a normal home match. It would be different for an FA Cup because that is what Wembley is supposed to be - a neutral ground. We won't base our decision to play at Wembley next season on the argument that we don't seem to play well there.
If we chose not to play there, what message would that give for when we reach semi finals and finals being played at Wembley? We'd have already lost before we even stepped onto the pitch.
We're trying to build a winning mentality. Suggesting to the footballing world that playing at Wembley affects us does the opposite.

Why though? If we went and played at Fulham would it not be like an away ground too?But when we're playing there in a final it will be a neutral venue. The issue with Wembley is that's it's impossible to homificate - I.e. make a place where you have a distinct home advantage. This would be true of every team. Chelsea will discover this if they go there.
