I'm in the camp of, lets suck it up and go with whatever option makes the new stadium build more efficient. If that is MK then I won't actively like it, but i'll accept it.

Although has The Valley been mentioned so far..?

Decent size, in London (although the 'wrong' side of the river), only half fill it themselves so may enjoy extra revenue, has overground train links right next door so travelling from North London isn't impossible..?

I know we're whinging and bitching about where we should go and we've all got our own views, but thinking about the bigger picture, one season away from home measured against possibly another hundred years in a wonderful new stadium doesn't really measure up at all, not in my eyes. Let's just swallow whatever happens now, it's only going to be for a comparatively short time, and in years to come, we'll hardly remember any hardship at all.

It's also not too far from me, so I can finally get to a game on time! I'm liking this idea!

I'm totally confused. What the hell happened to the original plan of partially building the new stadium around the current one and then moving into the new but incomplete one? All this shit about finding someone who will 'put us up' for a season is just so much hassell. And I can't stand the idea of not being self sufficient!

Has anyone officially said flat out that it's dead in the water? The actual wording the club used about the stadium's being completed by 2017 was that it's 'highly unlikely', which is what the media has picked up on. However, this may actually be understandable caution; imagine the response if the club had said, "Yes, we'll definitely be in in 2017" and then had to say, "You know we said 2017? Well, sorry, folks, but…" in two years' time. Archway should be done and dusted early next year (someone mentioned a date for the appeal hearing in the stadium thread, but I can't remember just when it was, but it would be bloody silly to assume it will go in our favour, and there's no guarantee that those chiselling pricks won't continue to cause delays even if it does. The Emirates took just over two years from breaking the ground to completion, so if all goes smoothly 2017 could still be on the cards—but that would explain why we've dropped that original plan and gone for a two-year build instead of three years. On the other hand, this talk of a move could just be a sensible precautionary measure, because we'd look really bloody silly if a move did become unavoidable and we had nowhere lined up.

It does look like MK is the favoured option, though, especially as Pochettino's been up there to give it the once-over (whether he'll still be at Spurs if and when we do move is a moot point, though). It just seems to be the least worst option, although I'd have thought Portman Road would have been worth a look; similar capacity, more convenient if you're travelling by car from N/NE London, good rail connection from Liverpool Street. It's about 25 miles further away, but the journey time is about the same, maybe even less if the A12 is clear and you regard the speed limit as purely advisory.

This isn't to say that I'm warming to Milton Keynes as I'm not (the thought of alligning our club with evil franchise football like MK Dons who ripped the heart out of Wimbledon sends a shiver down my spine) but I'm not sure where I want us to end up now...

Nothing that I've read, but I just assumed it as we're looking for a place to camp.

This is what the club said:
The Club has revised its construction programme in order to take the shortest possible time to construct. This now therefore involves the Club moving away from the Lane during construction for a period of one season, to start at the beginning of a season in order to comply with Premier League rules.
We are currently undertaking due diligence on alternative stadium options.

I don't know about you, but I don't like the sound of that. It sounds quite telling. If the original construction plan was still a possibility in their minds, why would they need to avoid informing us of that in order for the temporary relocation plans to be a "sensible precautionary measure?" It would still be a precautionary measure regardless. But I'd say the old plan is scrapped, but my point is, would it really make that much of a difference to stick to the original? Which would allow us to remain on the site at all times. We've waited this long, what's another year? In my mind, it just means that they can't demolish the current stadium at the same time as building the new one, which my layman mind can't see adding too much of an extension to the completion date, at least nothing unbearable. Surely the board will have to ask the question, "is it really worth the fucking hassell of find somewhere temporary?"

As for the hearing, it "will take place on 15 and 16 January 2015."

No naming rights for the new stadium. That had better be something which is SET IN CONCRETE! THIS IS WHITE HART LANE! Not "Piece-of-shit stadium"

I somehow missed that. It looks pretty official to me.

It does look as if they're hoping to get it ready for the start of the 2017-18 season, with a build time of two-and-half years, like the Emirates. With no serious hold-ups, that should mean completion some time around Easter 2017, wihich would allow an extra four or five months. If they've abandoned Plan A it can only be something to do with costs.
