You prefer the Upper Tier!! Are you nuts or maybe your an Astronaut in your day job

That's true, I reckon all ST will be in the lower section making them better value than possible cheaper seats in the upper tier on general sale?
secondly, we have to pay a considerable rent to play at Wembley?

I'm in the first 100 of the waiting list but I was waiting for a season ticket at the new season, not out at Wembley sodding Stadium.

Really thought they'd treat this season away as a one off for members and season ticket holders alike so I'm pretty disappointed about that.

I also think that that's incredibly harsh on the folk in the East Stand, especially given that they've removed the Cup games. I assume because the first cup games we play will be CL matches and it's a money spinner?

If Wembley wasn't enough of a worry already, shitloads of fans (and day trippers) will now be buying StubHub tickets and that'll affect the atmosphere for sure.

We dont know because we've never been told. Maybe if the club came out and said is was X pounds then that might help. I think id be a bit more understanding if the FA were charging us an absolute fortune,

This is where they've fucked up. But they couldn't really offer that without offering us season ticket holders an amnesty. It wouldn't really be fair,

Probably confidential as they will want to charge Chavs twice as much?

I think it's £15m ( although I could have just made that up). Have no idea how the gate receipt revenue is allocated.

It's all kicking off on social media.

Reading more posts and going back over the pricing maybe it's not a fair as I first thought actually - I think a price reduction given two less cup games and the extra capacity would've been reasonable to expect. Especially since a lot of cheap tickets could end up available on general sale as they struggle to sell out such a massive capacity.

It does pretty much confirm the new stadium definitely won't be cheaper.
Now given that we are doing well and are in the champions league, being cynical would those tickets be on offer if we were in the Europa League

If I'm being honest I was expecting something closer to West Ham pricing for one season only than rivalling Arsenal

If heard 15m as well somewhere a week or two ago which, if true, isn't much at all. Even if we were to have an average gate of 60k for all 19 league games, that works out at about £13 per ticket will cover that 15m over the season!

Add to that the extra games where we'll have far more than 60k plus the CL and other potential cup games then the rent will.be easily covered. And that's not even taking into account general merchandise sales or the stupidly priced food / drink income.

And for info, I fall into the slightly peeved East stand bracket and would have been quite happy for an amnesty on ST for this "away" season! Like many others, these trips to Wembley will add an extra 3 hours to my trip :banghead:

I'm at 50 odd thousand on the wait list after more than a decade overseas so I'm very disappointed season ticket numbers will be capped at around 40k I think; why not sell 60k? A Leverkusen sized away allocation would still leave over 20k for sale on an individual or combo game basis.

And no amnesty is simply going to encourage sths to wait it out next season ripping the rest of us off on a game by game basis.

So Hull on a Wednesady evening in the Gods for me and the boy then. When the secondary market ticket prices go fkin silly, i hope those seeking to profit get stung.

Yep me too.

Besides my anger I feel this could actually backfire on the club. My prediction is either lots of empty seats or lots of pissed off ST holders ( perhaps both). Which will not only be detrimental to the atmosphere, but not good for the team and be detrimental to performances on the pitch.

Another thing is that up until now I have never dreamed of ripping off fellow Spurs fans on StubHub by asking for more than face value. With this the way this has been handled though I may have to consider selling off a couple of games at extortionate prices to justify buying a ST that I won't use half the time.

Not surprised by any of this to be honest.

The majority of people when surveyed wanted to stay in London. So they listened and got Wembley. They no doubt trawled this and other Spurs forums this season and saw having experienced it, most people now dislike Wembley.

There's 22k current season ticket holders. If all 22k took advantage of a one season amnesty they'd be in trouble. Add the extra 18k season tickets they are making available to bronze members, if all of them took the amnesty they'd have to sell 40k tickets roughly to fill the bottom tier.

Never gonna happen.

The price increase for East Stand season ticket holders, of which I'm one, is pretty par for the course. They'd either have to do it now or next season, why would they wait.

That's just my view on it. Maybe I'm so used to them ripping me off, or doing something that disadvantages me (like when they changed the way loyalty points roll over) that I'm just expecting to have to bend over so that bald twat can fuck me up the arse at every opportunity.

And make me pay ever increasing amounts of money.

I'll still renew. Otherwise I'd have to spend more time with the inlaws (who I actually get on with, in small doses!).

I think this is it.

I also don't understand the why wait to put the prices up argument. I don't think anyone is naive enough not to expect a hike for the brand new purpose built WHL next door, but why should it apply for Wembley? Particularly as the increase to 90000 makes the facility to get face value back for any unused tickets virtually redundant.

Lol, no it's not. From memory I think it was something like 10%. Certainly nowhere near 50%.

I did it a couple of years ago and I think it was around £77pm (mine is the cheapest ST)
Sorry, my bad. I believe it was a lot more than that at least a few years back, but good to know they're now at least semi reasonable.

Get the pain and anger out of the way now, then it won't sully the opening of the new ground?

They're doing it because they can - business is business and fans are just customers.

If they go on to sell GS tickets at cheap prices during next season ( which they will have to for many games if they want to fill it) whilst ripping off ST holders then the opening of the new ground will already be sullied.

Of course they can do what they want. As you say it's just business. Doesn't make it right and pissing off a loyal fan base is not a great idea.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the fact that they seem to be taking advantage of people's loyalty and how fans in general get taken for a ride as far as possible. I'm just not that surprised.

Maybe they have misjudged feelings on this, but I get the feeling they're just not that bothered and feel safe knowing that people might grumble, but few will walk away.

Yeah fair enough. I'm usually a cynical fucker, but for some reason I didn't expect them to play it like this, especially when they applied for the full Wembley capacity.
