Can we beat Newcastle? Yes.
Can we beat Leicester? Yes.

Completely up to the players now, if you want champions league, go out there and prove it. If you fail, don't whine about not being in the Champions league next season.

If there are two teams on worse form than Spurs at the moment it’s Newcastle and Leicester.
But they've been playing teams where they're expecting to play on the front foot.

Does it take much confidence to do what WBA did today? They're just gonna soak it up and it's going to be up to us to break them down. Leicester are more adept against sides like ours as well as they're a naturally counter attacking team. Again I think they'll look to soak it up and catch us on the break.

Same mate I’ve said this for ages and all the Lamela supporters were spouting about how much he loves spurs and how hard he works and how creative he is, FUCK THAT(as Robert Franks would say), he’s just simply not good enough for us.
I don’t need any stats etc to tell me that it’s been blatantly obvious pretty much every time he plays.
I get Poch’s loyalty but he should’ve started Son or Lucas over Lamela.

Lamela is not needed when you are going to have most of the game he more of a guy who defends from the forward areas. His attacking play is not good enough to break teams down..

No matter how shit Alli is, he still can score something out of nothing. The taunts just make him stronger. He shouldn't leave before Lamela today.

I agree but this sums up exactly how I feel about Dele...

If this club is going to take the next step we can no longer afford to have players that FUCK ABOUT for 88 minutes and pop up with an assist or a goal every couple games. We need more players like Eriksen that play well ALL game AND provide goals and assists.

The players went on holiday after the chelsea win. Thankfully we got some luck against watford. This defeat is not surprising and hopefully it will mean players will cancel their holidays and start playing again.

Otherwise, 10 points and you fudged it up will be heard quite a lot next year.

I suspect Poch played the odds, the odds are that our chances of winning our two home games are higher than winning the away game and so he saved the best eleven for those two games.

The joy I will feel if Chelsea fail to win tomorrow, fucking hell. I wasn't actually expecting a win today, but it was so frustrating watching us play the way we did for so long. One of those games where we could still be playing now and we wouldn't have scored.

I hope people will stop giving me shit now about us blowing our chances of top four and terrible, weak performances by this team. I said it 3 games ago and got so much shit about how I was panicking and this stat and that stat.
As I said, the bottom line is our form is bad and Chelski have been better.
West Bromwich showed again that heart and determination still make a difference in this league. Just can’t believe we have blown a 10 point lead, again! We just never seem to learn.
If Chelski win tomorrow and I think they will, we are in real trouble.
But I’m sure people will come back yet again and tell me I am panicking and we have two home games, blah blah.
But the reality is this team are not playing well, not playing with heart or passion and could well lose both. But we may well need at least one win and one draw! Not good!

Yep. But there is people on this forum who think Kane is worlds best number 9 and that Alli is a world class talent.

Eriksen is the only real class player we got.
Dele has a better record then most Premier League legends had at his age, including players like Steven Gerrard. He has had a slightly weaker season this year, but shit he is not. He is still a work in progress. He's only just turned 22 FFS.

Kane IS world class. If a short term run of average form is all it takes for you to doubt that then you should have a long hard look at yourself. Even Messi has had off spells.

Because results and performances aren't the same thing.

You only have to go back 5 days to see what a bad performance and good result looks like. Well this was the opposite. We've dominated, haven't allowed them a single shot on target, but have lost thanks to a scrappy set piece, own goal in injury time, despite playing well.

Monday night was a bad performance and a good result. This wasn't a good performance and a bad result. It was a not-good-enough performance and bad result.

West Brom are a poor side, and a good performance, in context, is not having a lot of possession and creating one or two half chances.

A good performance would result in, in all but the most freakish of circumstances, scoring at least one goal. We did not create so much in this game that you can say 'well, it's a freak result that we didn't score'.

We had more possession and chances than a poor side. That does not, in and of itself, render this a good performance.

Fans of a certain age saw that result coming the longer the game went on.

Credit to WBA they got their tactics spot on. Closed down our FBs in wide areas, forced us into deeer crosses, cut off the near post run and totally closed off the middle channel.

They played for a 1-0 win and got it. Job done.

Then, with respect, you're not my kind of fan. That sort of negativity is not something we want bleeding down to the players, especially now.

its not negativity its called realism, its false hope which what brings us down, ofc top 4 is still in our hands but if you think we can be confident after our performances then im sorry but you are deluded

Wow what an excellent use of Spam, thanks for that fellow human being and Spurs fan. Very friendly.

Ok if you’re so desperate for it to be written down for you:

West Brom’s tactics all season and particularly the last few games under Moore have been to sit back and try and score from set pieces or counters. Hardly “no-one would have predicted it”.

You’re not getting tactically “outwitted” when the oppositions only plan is “sit back and hope”.

You’re not getting tactically outwitted when you lose the game from the ultimate scrappy chaos goal.

Parking the bus is not a clever or sophisticated tactic.

We weren’t very good but that’s because the players are too busy booking their flights for their summer holidays, not because they were cleverly out-thought by wiley opponents and a talented manager.
And Pochettino was unable to counter those tactics, the fact that they’ve “been playing like that all season” makes his failure even worse? Moore’s tactics defeated Pochettino’s tactics. What is so hard to to understand about that?
