I never really saw anything other than a victory for us tonight. But something was not quite right out there and whether it was to do with Walker or not, I don't know. He played two magnificent passes but defensively, he was back to his worst. His head was not right at all.
I agree with you and wonder whether the rest of the players didn't understand why he was starting. He was the last sub. His side was the one they were attacking, because he left so much space behind. We had some chances, but WH defended very well.

Nobody disputes the fact we've had a tremendous season and that the future is extremely bright for us with this crop of players and indeed Poch but you can't get away from the fact that we let ourselves down tonight in application and attitude.

We didn't pepper the goal, 'keeper pulling off worldies and us having 'one of those games', no it was one whereby none of our 'star' players stepped up to the plate, compounded by an infuriating affliction Pochettino has in deploying Wanyama and Dier in the middle in a CM2 - doesn't work and never will work!

Just terribly gutted a great title charge ended so poorly but of course, we can end this season on a relative high so let's send off the ol' girl next week in style by absolutely smashing Utd!

I always felt this may have been our best chance of the title because for sure Chelsea, city and Utd will throw money at it and strengthen right up, and with us at Wembley it could be out of the top four next year.
Again very gutting losing to a hated rival albeit a small time one like the semi-final recently, they did a number on us and we couldn't respond.
Poch and the team will be gutted that again we cannot deliver silverware when on offer.

Did you say that last season too? ;)

Poch does not seem to have worked out how to play against teams that match our workrate and press high especially away from home. I seem to remember Chelsea sat back played them on the break and beat them easily. Poch needs to develop a more pragmatic approach when required.

Shit coming out from the back tonight. Same as last time we lost it. Really disappointed. Yes we've had a good season. But this hurts. Got fucking gooners giving it to me. That's how much everyone hates us. It's pathetic. But true.

Can't you think of one or two retorts to give back to the twats?

Lol, get used to that shambolic defending at Wembley next season.

Our style of play doesnt work on a large pitch. It just doesn't. There is far too much space to fill.

Most teams have worked us out. Long balls over the top to willing runners, if you break the offside trap, you're in.

If we were at WHL next season, I truly believe we'd win the league. I think we'll struggle for top 5 at Wembley unless our style of play receives some major surgery.

How can most teams have found us out? First loss all season to a side outside the top 5! Nine wins in a row! Jesus, talk about an overreaction

If I was a West Ham fan I'd be asking why their players don't put that much effort into the other 37 games. Hope they enjoyed their cup final (as they sit 35 points behind us). Chelsea were not catchable and won the league before Xmas when they hit 13 wins on the spin as the other top 4 focussed on European football. To close the gap from 14 points to 4 points after Xmas was some achievement. Hopefully Levy will realise just how close we are to winning titles and release the purse strings a little more for a manager he simply has to back (stadium finances permitting).

Didn't see the point in moving Dier to LCB the back line needed solidifying not weakening With Walker so high we were far too open when our moves broke down (which was a lot) .

For these big pitches we need 3 at the back IMO.

We need more pace in the attacking 3rd as an option at least, it's a shame that we have £50m+ of summer buys warming our bench every game who are not good enough to come on and make an impact. Can't underestimate how much of a difference that could have made.

If you hear anyone say 'for the good of the premier league Spurs need to win' tell them to shut the fuck up. People are just waiting to revert to type and take the piss out of us. For the good of Spurs is the only reason to win. Keep everyone out of their comfort zone.
Fucking commentators were falling over themselves for the title race to finish.

Why do they not mark the pitch out at Wembley the same size as white hart lane surely as it's our home pitch for the season. I don't get paid a lot but please tell someone at Spurs has proposed this idea. Chin up lads and lasses

Great season: CL; finished above the scumbags; a season away from new stadium; future is amazingly bright.

Great fun being right in it up to this point.

Need to fine tune our squad and poch needs to tweak his decision making.

COYS!

Come on let's not go overboard. We lost. The law of averages meant that 13 wins was nigh on impossible. Yes I'm gutted we came up short, but perspective. 2nd. More points than ever.

Kick the cat. Know that we are perennially nearly there. Poxy spurs ! Poxy beloved spurs.

We can still win the league though. Chelsea might not win all their remaining games.
