Most teams have gone to the Olympic stadium and get a good result.

We go there in awesome form and fuck it up. Never getting my hopes up again.

Why do they not mark the pitch out at Wembley the same size as white hart lane surely as it's our home pitch for the season. I don't get paid a lot but please tell someone at Spurs has proposed this idea. Chin up lads and lasses
I thought about this too, but they won't.

The pitch dimensions at new WHL are exactly the same as Wembley's pitch. They won't change it.

I know a lot of you are fucking pissed and so am I but let's have a bit of perspective guys. It's our 4th loss of the entire season. We didn't play well....so we go again against the next oppo. We were never gonna win the league even if we'd beaten those 2 bob pikeys. Chelsea are a step above and that's just a fact. We are the 2nd best team in the league so let's not let a below par loss taint it. Fuck west ham.. in the immortal words of the Wealdstone raider, they've got no fans. They've got no ground. COYS the future is bright.

What do Jeremy Corbyn, Tim Farron, Paul Nuttall and Tottenham Hotspur have in common?

No matter what they do, May's just too much for them to cope with.

This is going to sound ridiculous but we struggled to get to grips with the dimensions of their pitch tonight. It's almost like the players expected there to be more space given the vast open spaces. Not blaming that at all on the defeat but it did strike me somewhat as I can imagine it freaking players out.

You can't win the league if you can't cope with playing on a different pitch.

Why all the fucking drama here? Yeah, we were shit tonight but we'd won 9 in a row prior to this and if it wasn't for us Chelsea would've won the league a month ago.

Even after this shit performance we're still clearly the second best team in the country right now and when you consider everything those ****s stand for imo we're actually the best. Pull yourselves together ffs!

We didn't get control of the game, that was the problem

What did he do to make us one of our better players? Always, always looks safe. More concerned with not fucking up than making something happen. You can carry that for a period but it will always bite you on the arse eventually
The mistake he made was not jumping to deal with the ball that led to the goal. Dier was dire during that process, too.

The annoying thing is, in future this game will be highlighted when we "lost the title" much like the Chelsea game last season when it's simply not true in either case.

Our last glimmer of hope was Everton beating Chelsea and it didn't happen. It was finished then

Last season the draw against West Brom or even the defeat at West Ham were the end of the serious-ish challenge.

Jenas on the BBC:

Totally agree.

He also said, 'you don't need to be a brain surgeon to know that football is a physical game'! The man is a fucking idiot who talks himself into a corner and then starts digging!

How can most teams have found us out? First loss all season to a side outside the top 5! Nine wins in a row! Jesus, talk about an overreaction

It's definitely an over reaction but I do worry about us on a bigger pitch. We don't look as comfortable. But win the first couple of games at Wembley next season and it may all be forgotten.

You can't win the league if you can't cope with playing on a different pitch.

As I said, it wasn't an excuse at all. Just an observation. It just struck me how often we attempted routine passes down the wings and they went out, suggesting we got the dimensions wrong. It's not to be used as an excuse as giving away a few throw ins doesn't justify how poor we were.

IMO - they were well on it. They played very well. We were the exact opposite.

Fucking commentators were falling over themselves for the title race to finish.
I really don't know whether it's us in the bubble of all things Tottenham and us being sensitive to any form of criticism or the fact that it was unashamed and completely biased commentary in way of highlighting any negatives surrounding us including speculation over keeping our players together.

Seemed tonight it was just taken to another level and really has irked me - probably more than it really should in truth.

It's games like these that rightfully remind us we still have work to do with the team though. Spark from a player like Hazard probably would have gotten us through this despite not being at our best and actually, this performance was also similar to when we play the 'top' teams away from home. Like with Liverpool, United and City in which we never really turned up or performed anywhere near the football we know we can. They are also the games in which we realise we could do with a bit of a special player.

Really have no time for the 'im so proud of the lads' messages.

It was a pathetic and gutless performance. They deserve absolutely no praise tonight. Save it for the end of the season.
