If Liverpool, or another northern club stump up the right offer, he will go - and Downing is who we will be going for to replace him.
Downing waiting to see if Lennon goes to Liverpool and so he goes to Spurs, alternatively if Liverpool don't get Lennon he believes they will go for him instead.
