What can we do about the Boo Boys?

The booing at the Lane is becoming a disease. Its on the increase and seemingly becoming more acceptable.

Its normally aimed at the manager, sometimes the chairman and sometimes a specific player..............but whoever it is aimed at is irrelevant as it effects the WHOLE team. It is completely counter productive.

And it has to be a boost for the away team when they hear that at half time even though the match is level with a full 45 mins to go

I have no idea how we can get the message through that booing won't help. If we had another way to vent any frustrations directly to the chairman or manager that might help.

But we have to stop the Boos....................any thoughts???

Good post. Frankly I am scratching my head. My immediate reaction would be 'play better faster, smarter football' but we know that isn't going to happen overnight. Tough one.

The poor atmosphere, and the poor home record are certainly connected. But it's a vicious circle, as the boo boys don't seem to realise/care about the influence they can have on player confidence.

Sadly they are a sign of the times. The X factor show in the now.

You'd have to think the TH Supporters Trust would be beind the booing. They would form the core of the die hard home support so the only way you could do anything about the booing would be to try to influence them.

I watched the Hobbit the other day. 2 hours 40 mins long.

I boo'd throughout the whole thing.

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED.

Do you think that its the die hard fans that are booing then? I have been putting down to the more fickle, less patient modern fan

Maybe give them some entertainment

I have been going to the Lane for 25 years. There have been spells of dire, un entertaining football in that period which saw us class top half of the table as a success. But I don't recall much booing then.

it is a modern disease that means you can have 5 great games on the bounce but then one bad performance will signal a chorus of boo's,

I hate it. I used to love going to WHL each week and would try to get to some away games. Now I long for the away games much more

Well how do you explain the consistency and volume in the booing? The die hard fans make up the majority of the crowd right? The WHL crowd dynamic is not clear to me, but even if they are not the majority, they certainly sit together in a large group and this is what is needed to produce consistency and volume. It works the exact same for the chants and songs.

and there in lies the modern answer..............surely no one who is a Spurs fan is really in it because they expect to win each week? That is not what we are brought up on.

Very much a tongue in cheek response. Unfortunately that is the only way you'll get the boo boys to stop. Not that I get to go to the games but it seems that unless we win there are boos ringing out at WHL

Spoilt by one year in the CL and now we have the divine right to be there again. We don't, modern football, modern fans.

Only a billionaire with cash to splash will do for them.

I hate it and there is nothing you can do, it is the rot of the modern game.

Change our unrealistic demands, I mean expectations.

Not even Utd fans are booing when until yesterday they were behind us in the league. We were ahead on where we were last season and have been booing and half time / full time whistle that happens when we aren't winning.

In my opinion this will not change for a long time.

Come on the U21's!!!

Yeah I guess so. The dynamics of the Lane can be odd. My seats are in the West Stand lover tier (block 9) and there seems to be a lot of seats there that are used by overseas supporter clubs and business so its different people all the time. As a result the atmosphere in that section can be poor.

I had a right moan at some people in Spurs kits sat in front of me at the Liverpool game who were taking photos and videos of the Liverpool team celebrating goals............I asked them if they were Spurs fans why the hell would they want a video of that
