Testing ourselves against the best, of course. We've become too good for the rest of England so it'll be fun to lock horns with the elite.

I voted fulfilling our players desire to play at the top level, which I see is a popular choice here. There's nothing else that can bring a team closer together and improve morale than when their efforts are rewarded by playing at the highest level possible, and lots of other things kind of come under that heading anyway - like playing the Barca's and RM's, and not playing in the ropey etc.
For me the biggest satisfaction comes from the fact that we've achieved it without Gareth Bale, remember the piss takers back then who called us Gareth Bale instead of Tottenham? Well now they're eating their words cos this is a proper TEAM.

Last time we beat both Milans, made the San Siro our home, before being knobbled by Real. Nights like Bale's hat-trick, Jordan squaring off against Gattuso, Van Der Vaart's goal... these things live in the folklore of the club, and I'm excited to see what history this group of astonishing players can create. Harry Kane with a hat-trick against PSG, Lamela with a rabona against Roma, or Toby with a Ledley-esque tackle against Ronaldo?

Simply cannot wait to be in the east upper, roaring my lungs at our team, feeling the passion from the stands and the pitch. Nights like the home leg against AC Milan essentially.

It's what supporting a football team is about.

I agree with most, keeping "our marquee" players playing other world class players. Who knows in the next few years some of ours may well be the true world class players other supporters covert. IMO this is already the case.

Why would El Poch want to go anywhere else and have to start again.

Winning it.

Or if you're Arsenal, getting out of your group to get knocked out and qualify again.

Nothing really:

- Opponents are similar standard, bar the 4-5 elites (who will destroy us when we draw them)
- Money all gets eaten up in salaries and bonuses
- Stadium fills with moaning entitlement wankers instead of the 1882 lot and other general sales people who actually really want to be there
- No chance to watch Onomah, Winks and 2CV emerge in the same way Europa fans got to see with Kane, Bentaleb, Lamela etc.
- Wednesdays clash with my team's training, whereas there's usually nothing else to do on Thursdays
Yes Nige!

Good: The whole of Europe watching WHL on a European glory night.

Bad: The whole of Europe's scouts watching our players.

Best thing.....competing with the best teams and raising the club's profile.
Worst thing......the pressure I feel to get Sky installed.

Playing the best teams. I'd love to see Messi at the Lane...although I'll probably hate the result.

Personally I couldn't care less about the money aspect of it.

This exactly. There is something truly magical about playing the Madrids etc under the lights at WHL.

We would at least be made to look silly by the likes of Bayern and Barcelona for once, rather than Basel and Benfica...

Also I think it's great that we are going to be in it for the last season in the old stadium after some of the amazing European nights that have been in there

I'm gonna miss the old stadium when it's gone :(

These two are just factually incorrect. The monetary difference between CL and EL is absolutely massive, and will certainly not be used up in bonuses. As for the second, the home atmosphere against Inter Milan is possibly the best I've ever seen at the Lane.
