Red Cafe: And a slightly more balanced view than the Goons earlier.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs are something of a boa constrictor. 60 minutes of being muscled and pressed and squeezed to death, and then once you are too tired to fight back well - just swallowed whole.

Love this quote!

Its this quote from Arsemania that gets me

"Out of nothing, a goal. Good goal to be fair. But testament to what Im saying... this team isnt special. They are just well drilled with moments of magic."

WTF!! Isn't that what distinguishes a good side from the ordinary ones. Do these chimps ever read what they post before pressing the submit button
The poor dears are mourning for the days when we were stuck in mid table.

What a truly pathetic bunch of deluded ****s. By some distance the most melt muggy fans in the football league - other teams have more delusion (Pool), more arrogance (United), more vile characters and sentiment (Chelsea) but no team can match the galaxy-spanning levels of meltdom that are inherent in so many Gooner ****s.

I know sometimes the hate doesn't run too thick here for them for some reason but I still truly detest Arsenal and all of their muggy players and fans. A complete embarrassment to the world of football. Like if David Cameron was a football club or something.
Amazing how they miss the irony of the 'media love in' comments considering the media were all over Arsenal for years.

What's Alli meant to have done wrong? Not moved his ankle?!

It just shows the sort of backward mentality of some football fans. Same as the ones booing him for have the audacity of getting fouled. Its akin to blaming a rape victim because of what they were wearing.

"If it hadn't been offside it would have been penalty to Newcastle here."

I truly don't understand this. The broadcast I was watching (in Canada) had the co-commentator, one David Prutton, saying that KW-P 'definitely clipped' the Newcastle player. This wasn't discussed in the half-time review, but when it was touched on super-brain Tim Sherwood also said that it would have been a penalty. Do people actually watch what happens in front of them or just spout shit based on preconceptions? The Newcastle player pushed the ball forward, changed direction slightly to bump into KW-P and threw himself to the ground. How the fuck can anybody say it should have been a penalty?

If a penalty was given then I'm pretty sure that we would've seen the first player to be punished for simulation by video review. (Or not, if a David Prutton calibre of analyst was on the panel.)

It was a blatant dive. KWP did everything to avoid contact and Gayle threw himself at him Vardy-style, which he has a habit of doing.

Even if it was a foul so many people forget that the reason the striker is in goal side to get fouled is because he was offside. Same as when you hear "if he stays onside there, he's through on goal" well no because then he would have been a yard or 2 back and not in behind the defence

People are just damn jealous of Alli. He only cost 5 M so the song goes.

Also people should remember this is a kid doing what he loves growing quick in the media spot light. Last season Alli would of reacted instead he showed maturity.

I totally get why op fans dislike Dele. Part jealousy, part he is a wind up merchant and has a fair bit of attitude. I'd probably call him a **** if he played for a rival. He doesn't though and I love the guy. They'd love him too if he played for them.

To me? Well, nothing really. I just really dislike his hot headed attitude on the pitch and how he's always trying to wind opposition players up.
To be honest I love the fact we have a player that can wind our opponents up. The amount of times in the past we've had it happen to us makes it refreshing. Alli may be hot headed but he always gives 100% to the team regardless.

Think you'd better get used to it mate as its part of what makes him such a player, need to remember he's still very young and will get better at it, and he's being coached by an Argentine who made winding the opposition up an art form.
What he did yesterday was incredibly clever and something you'd expect to see from a seasoned pro, he'd been chumming the waters all game and eventually Uncle Fester took the bait, ten minutes later we're 2-0 up and cruising to victory.

For years I've wanted a 'bastard' in our team, now we've got one, and i fucking love him.
