We had never a chance with City interested. If we would have offered 51m, City would most likely jumped in earlier.
City intended to go in to the season with 4 CB's Laporte, Ake, Stones and Garcia(who played a lot the season before) with Fernandinho being 4th/5th choice CB whilst trying to get rid of Otamendi(though no one could afford him)

But after the poor start to the season with Garcia and Ake starting vs Leicester(they conceded 5), City were forced to buy another CB

They weren't going for a CB at all at the start of September

They were forced to replace Ake, 26 with Dias, 24

If we sign Dias at the start of the window, we would have no competition

Instead we will now probably get Ake wit ha swap and money for Kane, and i do not rate Ake at all.

Everton fans seem to be taking the Ancelotti news quite well to be honest...

I hope he fails badly at Real and gets sacked again. Sorry, it is just how I feel.

Probably also because he did at best a so-so job there.

Yeah, I find it funny reading their comments but I don't blame them at all for feeling as such. Actually, a lot of them really believed he could still take them to the next level. They obviously all watched Everton more than me, but they never greatly impressed me all season, even when they were near the top. After all the changes they'd made they still ended up looking like the same old Everton.

From PSG forums,

"... Pochettino already has desires elsewhere 6 months later for a vulgar Tottenham, what will it be with ZZ who has absolutely no attachment to PSG."

"If the guy really wants to leave and we keep him by force, that's a real pity. "

"So we're going to keep a guy who wanted to quit and who spoke with another club? "

"All wrong about this coach. The worst casting mistake. Little coach, little guy. I hope we're really trying to get him out "

"Pochettino has just weakened himself like a con. He lost his credit against his leaders and against his players. I don't see how he could reframe his dressing room next year after that, he lost his legitimacy."

"It would be nice to fire him after Tottenham sign another manager"

Can't agree with that. Excluding the 1st game of the season, up until the West Ham implosion where suddenly everything seemed to change after and we went ultra defensive, we looked really good. My (non spurs) mates thought we were in with a shout of the title, which was flattering us a little, but we were scoring plenty. I remember as it surprised me and was very different to the Mourinho ball I was expecting. I think that West Ham comeback probably screwed us, as Mourinho reverted to type, we stopped scoring so many, but continued to experience the issues in defence.
Very rarely post but between the 1st game of the season and the West Ham implosion we only played 3 prem games !!!!! Sure we scored plenty in 2 of those games (Saints and Man U) but we also drew with Toon in that time. And yes we outplayed a couple of European minnows but surely you cant say we looked really good down to a weird match against Man U and a thumping of Saints??

The irony of a fan of tacky, nouveau-riche PSG calling somebody else vulgar!

Agreed. It's the reason I was firstly disappointed that Poch went there (not disappointed in him, per se - just a general sense of disappointment as it reduced my affection for him somewhat) and secondly why I didn't want him to be successful there.

Revulsion-wise, I'd rank Man City and PSG at the top of my personal list, followed by Chelsea. The fact that I was rooting for Real bloody Madrid to win the Champions League, a club that I would happily watch implode into a black hole while munching on popcorn and getting a BJ, shows just how much I hate those three clubs. They're scum, in my opinion, nothing more.

I cry foul play, they aren't our opponents, I went on the Rennes Forum and they had no opinion on this situation

I'd be really surprised if he chose them levy must accept his demands he worse than mourinho

Conte would be terrible for Sp**s. He falls out with everyone. They’re really keen on short term success it seems, first Jose and now Conte.

We could have him if he doesn’t go to Sp**s.

Sp**s also want Paratici both worked at juve together. Look like levy want them to work thier magic at Sp**s an interesting risky appointment if happen he really not make many great decisions gave big contracts to like of Rabiot Ramsey.

The game is tight at the top, Sp**s at the very least want to be in the Champions League now. Solid appointment for them, but without proper signings wont do much. What this will do is keep Kane however.

credit to Sp**s for at least trying for these upper level managers. feels like ourselves & United just sleepwalking...

I hate how they act like a big club these days. It's so confusing for me, my brain just can't comprehend it.

Levy desperate for success that's why he want win trophy he put alot of money changed many managers but it's always ended in failure

Sp**s won't find anyone better than Conte they got extremely lucky that he fallen out with inter and became available so if they want quick success they better give him what he want he won't stay more than 2 years at Sp**s.

Another 2 years of finishing below Sp**s... I am tired, Robbie.

This is remind when Sp**s appointed villas boas and wasted thier 100m on Lamela Eriksen etc..

Conte is often quite spot on with his signings tho, albeit for his very specific system

Yes he won trophy with guys like Moses Alonso in his team but Chelsea are whole different than Sp**s i think he'll win an fa cup with them and maybe push for top 4 no matter how good Conte Liverpool Chelsea manutd city Leicester are all levels above them
