I mean Lester?!? Who just bottled CL after being in the CL places for more time during the season than both Chelski and Lolpool??

Yeah, I find it funny reading their comments but I don't blame them at all for feeling as such. Actually, a lot of them really believed he could still take them to the next level. They obviously all watched Everton more than me, but they never greatly impressed me all season, even when they were near the top. After all the changes they'd made they still ended up looking like the same old Everton.

In that sense, they've received the same sort of media support as Liverpoo did after the FSG takeover. Everton have similarly seemed to ride on a wave of media support, burnishing their image as a sleeping giant, but there was never that much substance to the stories.

It's true. I asked a French business associate (from Lyons) why it was so difficult to get a decent meal in Paris and he had nothing but scorn for the place.
