See Goldbridge has his own talksport show now fair play to him. So setting up a YouTube channel and chatting sh*t really is a career path, who knew.

He is pretty good though, talks a lot of reasoned sense.

Lenglet signing

  • I’m crying in my back garden after that Lenglet tweet. They’re so far ahead of us now man, what have we become?
  • Wipe your tears and trust the process.
  • Sp**s 100% finishing above us.
  • I mean is this even a debate? They’re levels ahead of us. Better GKs, better defenders, better midfield and a miles better attack. Nobody can argue that, it’s so so true.
  • Depth signing, I don't think he will get in ahead of Davies.
  • We won’t finish within 10pts of them.
  • Hearing Bergwijn is a top priority for United now that he’s an Ajax player
  • A-M crying over that gimp Lenglet.
  • Conte has to win something this year otherwise they’ve spent money on old crap players. Conte asked for 6 signings. Two are free agents, 1 is a straight loan of deadwood, one no one else wanted because he was on trial and the other they got rinsed for

He doesn't need to win anything.
But he does need to get us closer to the top so that we are only a couple of big signings away.

That last comment on Arsemania is so deluded.

Bissouma and Richarlison are top PL performers aged 25, key men at their clubs. They are major signings and can't just be shaken off. I personally think Bissouma especially takes our midfield up a level.

Perisic is playing out of his skin at LWB and is on short term deal for a reasonable outlay. It's an ambitious signing, I'm tired of talking about sell on value. Our other LWB is 21 years old and still developing anyway.

Forster is a backup goalkeeper. No point signing an expensive Hugo successor and then benching them.

Lenglet is a loan that could potentially pay off big time. Nothing wrong with an opportunistic signing and we may well still sign another CB this summer.

They are so obsessed with young players as they simply don't have anyone that is top class and in their prime.

I've never been more confident that we are clear of them, from manager through to the whole squad.

Do you not think he needs to win anything in the next two season - perhaps not absolutely next season but season after? I think with what we have spent and will spend going forward I think Conte will be expected to win something.

Next season it is crucial we get into CL but we need to aim higher at some stage and that perhaps is the following season I dont know.

I think as long as we are competing for honours, and by that I mean going close, next season, then that'll be considered good work.

But yes, the season after he will absolutely have to win something. Especially as the next window will probably include 2-3 expensive signings (Gvardiol etc) .

Klopp Was given time and had a couple of seasons of moving closer but as soon as he had a big spend that was the time he had to get over the line. And he did.

From Levy's perspective, Conte won't have to "win" anything - so long as Spurs remain competitive within the top-4 (i.e. play CL), and play moderately attractive football.

From Conte's perspective - he would walk away long before Levy sacked him. I think Conte has higher standards.

I think Spurs have about a 2-year window to take advantage of the squad - for Conte to stay for the 2nd season, Spurs will need to be very close this season (Making a final or 2, and within a shout of the league title in May), and if they fall short, Levy will need to be committed to making improvements next summer.

whole age agenda they are pushing is laughable ! Kulu now 22 bentancur is 24 or 25 can’t exactly remember, Bissouma 25, richarlison 25 and lenglet is only 27. They are sweating and making things up as usual lol. Thats not to even mention Romero who yes wasn’t a conte man but is only 24. Huge base for the next 5 odd years there

I agree with both of you - I think a two year window with progress next season and CL football and then the season after we gotta go all out.

I know we talk about taking advantage of Conte but actually we must take advantage of Kane and Son. We may not have elite strikers for a while once theyre finished with us so it would be criminal if we dont win anything with them. You only need to look around other clubs to see that there arent many comparable strikers around.

Do not dignify their comments by trying to explain or debate the facts. Out football will do the talking!

2 seasons he does yeah, but I don’t think he has to this season. It took him 2 seasons at inter, it requires more than one summer window to get the team he needs, particularly with how strong the prem is.

Can’t help but think this year is the big opportunity. United and Arsenal remain away behind us in terms of quality, United particularly if Ronaldo goes.

Chelsea are in transition and the new man definitely does not seem a sugar daddy type.

Liverpool have lost a key component and are starting to look a little old. If Nunez takes a little while to settle then they could drop off.

City, Haaland and KDB injury prone, one or both out and they could drop off

I wouldn’t be so sure, chelsea if they get sterling, raphinha, ake and de ligt will be better than they were last year. If their wing backs stay fit. People forget they were top of the league until Chilwell and James got injured.

Our “par” this season is 3rd IMO. Anything less would be disappointing.

Saw a report saying azpilicueta and Alonso have agreed terms with Barcelona and want to leave. And another saying de ligt was possibly heading towards Bayern.. could all go very tits up for them yet...
