Almost every single one complaining about Murphy's comments haven't even read / listened to what he's said. If we're going off Murphy's comments, he said who'd 'currently' get into the XI, and currently, Sturridge (like always) is injured, so there's no reason for them to be complaining about why he's not included him. I was looking earlier & sturridge has only scored 8 goals in 21 games in 2015, 4 of which came in two games...

Sorry they are morons. Sakho is in my opinion one of the worst CBs in the league, not one of the best. Jordan Henderson is the definition of average, Walker and Trippier are both better defensively and going forward than Clyne and Sturridge is always injured.

Maybe the scousers should take a look at the table, goals scored and conceded before proclaiming they have better defenders and strikers.

A bit more from the Everton fans

We have won a full more seven league titles than their paltry two and they best not forget it. They owe us homage. March them all - Terry and Dave and Dazza and Barry, every single last meffy last one of them - to the Dixie Dean statue from their trains, coaches and cars and make them get down on their knees and pay their dues. Or we’ll slay them right there and then. Bring Mark Falco out of his after dinner speeches for 60 people and throw a burger at his head and get Southall to just sit on him right there and then. What’s our name? We’re Everton you filthy mugs. Now get in the stadium and pipe down or we’ll too tuck right into your cheap cocaine tainted women.
Only messing, I actually much prefer them to the Arsenal fans who are weird bores. I’d also be happier if they won any title up for grabs this season than the other offerings about too.

This is brilliant. The whole lot from that forum had me laughing but this one and the Kane one are friggin' hilarious. Fair play.

Everton fans are the most whingey stadium fans when things aren't going their way - they really harass the ref into giving them decisions. Unfortunately that's a brilliant asset and I wish we could have the same influence on refs!

Heart says 1-2, head says 2-1. I'll take a draw though, they've been playing well lately without getting results. Though we've been excellent since Newcastle so who knows....!

I'm gonna take advice from the Lawro thread and go 8-0 Liverpool.

I would rather have Bassong than Sakho. I would rather have Dave from the Dog & duck, than Sakho
Sakho is one of those players that just looks awkward. He is not a natural footballer and has had to work on the te helical side of the game. I don't think he is even that much better than fazio or wimmer.

A few from loveevertonforum

"Tottenham are a team that do a professional job. Everton are probably stronger in terms of individuals but as a team I think they are more effective"

"If I say we'll win it always comes back at me so I'm going to refrain from predicting. All I'll say is we are good enough to be beating other teams but we aren't doing it. I thought we might start to pick up points while other teams still had to play each other, but now everybody has played everybody else, and the catch is that we are in the bottom half of the table, and I don't find that acceptable for a club like Everton"

"We should be destroying these teams when all considered. Either they have gotten so good that they've caught us up or we've gone backwards, but I'm not sure we are the best of the rest anymore that's for sure"

"Obviously I hope we win, but not feeling very confident about this one.
Hope to see two wingers and not Kone stuck out wide. Imagine Baines will be back in the 11 too.
Everton 2-3 Spurs
Then lots of rage [angry][angry][angry]"

I'm going to give this poster the benefit of the doubt and assume this comment is not specifically about Spurs...

He's like JT with a soul. He has the ability to be a fantastic defender and reader of the game. Athletic etc but yeah, football control comes as naturally to him as synchronised swimming does to Frank Bruno.

Fazio is like that. He's not actually a terrible defender. He can read the game and get in the right position etc but with the ball often comes pain. Fazio is disadvantaged further by not having an excess of athleticism or, indeed, any.

Some excellent/funny/insightful comments from Everton fans there. They've always been among the smarter
Not sure, if this is already posted...

This is Everton Vs Spurs thread start up page from Everton forum (grandoldteam)

Have to say its one of the best....

What a fantastic OP. I've always rated Everton fans among the brightest in England - from their forums, or 606 - and certainly the quoted posts in this thread are suggesting as much. That Harry Kane-Fagin post is a masterpiece.

On Everton I think they are good going forward although suspect defensively and haven't been getting the results their performances deserve. This is bound to change sooner or later and they will eventually put together a run of wins. It will be massive if we can get a win there.

That OP is a thing of beauty. Well done chicoazul.

Chas and Dave fingered all their mothers at some point and no mistake. Caghoul wearing cockney plums bouncing through a really turgid North London estate and thinking that they have an urban edge to them while their missus is at the local wine bar getting tucked into by slicked back haired bouncers who all claim to be ex special services - but can’t talk about it - because they disappeared for four years in the nineties when they went to Malaga and worked as a PR on a bar and found steroids. State of the tattoos on the them, the phoney fat beak addled biffs.

It’s a microcosm of society that Nigel Farage would tell you is the Best Of British, despite the rest of Britain having complete distaste for the fraudulent scruffy tools. And here they are: ready to lord it on some grim northern pavement as though they’re on a personal commissionary from our overlords. When they sing their songs - it sounds cockney. When they walk past you with their head down for fear of a beating - they smell of cockney. When they take their jacket off and the top button is fastened on their jarg polos - they look cockney. It’s an assault on your senses and you should not stand for it.
