Well back in May When Luka Modric signed his new improved deal the papers were reporting how embarressed he was by now earning £70,000 a week in the middle of a recession!

Yet only recently the same bloody paper is reporting that Modric is on £45,000?

I quess it makes the story that Modric could triple his wages by going to chelsea justifiable.

One things for sure, Modric isn't embarressed anymore.

In all honesty can someone please tell me the difference between earning 45,000 a week, 70,000 a week or even 100,000 a week.... surely at even the lowest point you are filthy, filthy, filthy, filthy rich. Shit's me to tears hearing players act like that when I'm struggling to keep a roof over my children's head and earn about 2 or 3 days worth of his salary a year. Complete f'ing ingrate.

It's double your wages and once you have paid your taxes you can buy more.Modrics agent gets a little bit more. Modrics family get a little bit more.
Who cares, it is beyond the reach of most people
