Sell him and Soldado and buy either Benteke or Austin or both. Neither Adebayor or Soldado deserve a place in the squad and should be should immediately

Get him out of our club ASAP there is no other solution. How anyone on here can defend this tosser is beyond me. Enough is enough. He is not worth the trouble thats follow with him. What has he done the last two seasons? Nothing on the field and off the field, nothing but trouble.

I hate it when a player scores 14 in 25 and does nothing on the field.

Youre defending of him is pathetic, you should stop it because it is obvious that he is nothing but trouble. How come that both AVB and Poch has not played him for large part of the seasons? He is our best paid player and scored 3 goals last season, enough said.

What does him being our best paid player have to do with anything? If the manager doesn't play him then he can't score goals. Just because a manager doesn't play someone doesn't automatically mean they're shit. AVB played Soldado for his 2nd season and look how that turned out. He was sacked and when Tim brought Ade back in he scored a load more than Soldado did.

It's funny because almost every poster that attacks Ade uses nothing but opinion. "He's trouble", "He's lazy", "He's a mercenary", "He's been useless", yet when you're faced with facts on goals he's scored you have no comeback other than that he's paid well.

It's pointless arguing with people that have their head stuck so far up their own arse that only shit comes out of their mouth because you lack the objectiveness that a debate needs.

Ladies and gentlemen I leave you with this:

League goals/appearances:

Soldado - 7 goals in 52 games of which 3 were from open play. Cost £13-26m and paid £60-70k a week? (Between £19m and £36m depending on total transfer fee/wages for 2 seasons)
Adebayor - 35 goals in 87 games. Cost £5m and paid £100k a week (roughly £26m total cost over 4 seasons)

One is a nice guy and the other is nothing but trouble? Brilliant.

How many games did Ade play last season and how many goals did he score? He did turn up late after the African Nations in 2013. AVB did not want him anywhere near the first team and Poch did not use him much this season thats a fact.
The Tottenham Hotspur forward has always been a controversial character and has lived up to that reputation this season. There was the red card in November's north London derby, the sudden decision to play for Togo in the African Cup of Nations and his subsequent late return from the tournament in South Africa.

Even though Togo were knocked out on 3 February, Adebayor did not come back to London until late on 8 February, less than 24 hours before his side's Premier League match against Newcastle United. This left the Spurs head coach, Andre Villas-Boas, exasperated, primarily because Adebayor is currently his only fit senior striker. That is the act of a nice man thats for sure. Thank you and good night! Why do you bring in Soldado in the debate here? Did he turn up late? Did he travel back to Spain on numerous occasions to solve personal problems/family matters? Ade is his own worst enemy and i don't need any more proof of it.

Don't use a forum if you can't be objective.

SC should implement a 'yawn' rating button.

On another note, I don't think there has ever been a more obvious case of how many sheeple there are that follow football than those that comment on Ade.

Oh come on, enough with the bias.

To be fair, I don't think having personal problems/family matters is to do with not being nice, or someone being their own worst enemy. I feel sorry for him, as I don't believe he chooses to have these various issues. If he has emotional or psychological problems, taunting, teasing or dismissing him is as old -fashioned ('Get a grip, man!') as it is puerile and sad. It is easier to be negative, I admit.

A team can't be set up to mollycoddle one player. The ethos under Poch seems to be one of the whole team pulling together, which Adebayor doesn't seem to like.

He had had his chance, maybe the manager will give him another. If I had a day I would do a 'Arry, put my arm round him and suggest there are clubs where the ethos that worked for him under Sherwood still exists... Maybe he would be happier to go... Maybe to Villa!

Your stats on Ade are slightly misleading. Since he SIGNED his EPL stats are played 65 scored 17. For an experienced premier league player this is poor.

I don't know why Soldado is a part of this argument, however his wife did have a miscarriage, and he didn't disappear back to Spain. Fact is, Spurs have been very understanding with his 'issues' and allowed him a lot of time off.
