Our worst ever signing in the history of our great club.

David Bentley, Roberto Soldado, Louis Saha, Andy Booth Gregorz Rasiak, Darren Bent, Sergei Rebrov to name a few, were all far worse, but for different reasons. Adebaor scored a fair few goals for us.

He's trolling, don't bother with him

None of them caused so much destruction.

Definitely all of them were/are worse/less talented than him but none of them took the piss out of our shirt to the level this character has.

I think that's a bit harsh of Saha? Cheap, scored a few goals. Not what we needed at the time but he was far from terrible

And Bent, who scored goals and made us money when we sold him.

And none of them were costing us £100,000+ a week either.

Big mistake by the chairman I'm afraid.

Saved money on the transfer fee but gambled on being able to offload him when required.

What we saved on the fee we have lost in wages with little production.

Seems like he is determined to see out his contract and then off it to Qatar, US or China for a final pay day.

I want this guy out of the Club asap!!! But what i am going to say next might baffled a few (you guys know that i am always voicing my opinion that Ade should be SOLD!). We all know what kind of "leech" Ade is in terms of money and we all know that he will squeeze the club for more money till he leaves and taking into consideration that Kane might not have a full Pre-Season due to the Euro under 21 tourney (and hence might not start the season and will take sometime before he fires on all cylinders again). The chance of Ade doing well at the start of the season will be higher than the last 2 seasons. He is looking for the next "BIG" contract and suitors. MoPo to "prepare" Ade and get him "fired up" at the start of the season and have his "top form" maintain till december. If Ade could score about 10-12 league and cup goals by then, have him up for sale at the January transfer season for no more than 1 millions pounds (Club cannot be greedy and Ade's current contract ends in 6 months time anyway). Of coz Kane will be back in MoPo's plan by Oct and maybe running "Full Steam" again in November (and it would give ample time for a new forward to acclimatised; if the club decides to buy one forward/striker/WF).

If Ade decided not to go and to continue squeezing the club for the last 6 months or so, let him rot in the reserves (this will give a warning to potential buyers to stay away). By then Kane would be up to speed and the new forward/striker/WF would also somewhat adapted to life WHL. If no new Forward/Striker/WF is brought in, Chadli could be employed as a back up to Kane.

I think that's a wind up? He was excellent in his first season and was excellent playing under Sherwood. For mentality wise he'd be up there with some of the worst. It's just another long line of strikers who didn't live up to the hype while at Spurs, all had talent but didn't perform consistently. Ade, Soldado, Kanoute, Mido, Positga, Rebrov, Pavlyuchenko etc

For every Lineker, Sheringham, Klinsmann, Keane there is always someone on the other end of the spectrum waiting around the corner :D

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Spurs would be interested in deals encompassing Tottenham contributing to Adebayor's salary at a new club.

Seeing this thread prompts me to remember I had a horrible dream last night that I was reading the official site (which I rarely bother to do as not much of interest on there) and they had announced they had extended Adebayor's contract by a further year wtf???:eek:

*goes off to check official site just in case...* :cautious:
