What to do with JJ..

Now i just want to say this is not a JJ banging thread.
I personally love Jermaine

But in saying that i just thought i would ask for a few views on what we should do with our JJ ? we have sorta tried him out as a defensive midfielder i dont think it worked.
his a solid box to box CM but i dont see how he fits into our formation and can see him hitting the pine coz of the likes of Hudd,zoko,modric would all suite our new look formation better imo
he's not a ball player,a ball winner or even really a goal scorer so i was just wondering what u would do with him? :shrug:
He is the club vicecaptain so some would say gets his name on the sheet first automatically although hudd will be better, modric probly is
and zoko is in fine form sooo just thought id get some views! but i dont think he can take us to the next level

Keep him away from central midfield is a start. He might be an ok RB but we got three of those already

A sort of 4-5-1/4-3-3 with wingers, but altered a bit. Giovani operating more as a second striker than a left winger, as he tucks in to allow Bale to operate as a left wing back, as I don't think he needs a left winger in front of him. I think Lennon looks better than Bentley at the moment, but either can play there and that's probably both of their best positions, and I can't see both Bent and Pavlyuchenko playing together much this season. With our lack of strikers, I expect we'll only play one more often than not. I don't think Bent should be dropped after scoring against Chelsea, and Pav doesn't have to make his full debut right away.

I just feel that in this formation most players get to play in their strongest positon, getting the most out of each of them.

I still don't like the idea of Bent up front on his own after the first three games of the season. One good CB, and he's going to have trouble. Two good CB's, and he's fucked.

We're not always going to have Fat Frank to play magnificent through balls though, are we?

TBH I don't think he got what it takes to step up the next level, we going on about breaking into the top 4 or 5 or it could even be 8 if the arabs and the indians get their way and I just don't think he is consistent enough to make that step.

For us to break into anything this is my list of players that need replacing first:

Jenas
Dawson
Zokora

Bent has not played enough PL games yet to determin if he should be on that list, Lennon and BAE should only be used as an impact subs (Lennon until he becomes the full package)

I think Thud needs to play a bit more games in front of the back 4 to get that little bit more experience that he needs

i personally think Zoko would be a great DM if he keep up his form ( doubtful i no) but id say this season would be his last chance to prove himself as a top level CM/DM lets just hope he keep it up and even gets better!

If he's going to play anywhere it should be as an AM.

He's not a box to box player, he can't tackle but his athleticism is his key attribute and that's what needs to be utilised when we push forward.

Just for the record with a strike rate of 22%

That amazing, fantastic legend Anderton had a strike rate of 13%

....as for that quality player Zokora I dont even think we need a calculator for that 1
