Tennis and football are two completely different sports and the practices of both are completely different. Just because you have coached tennis, doesn't make you an expert in coaching football. I have played at the highest level (youth wise) against most EPL stars in my age group who were playing for teams in the London area. Since I wasn't good enough I have become a FA qualified coach (level 2) and I will be talking my level 3 soon.

So, like I said, I do know what I am talking about; and I do know what it takes to get to the top. As I know and seen it from first hand experience.

Why weren't you good enough? Was it because you didn't have the natural ability that others were born with?

You've gone on a tennis and football track that I really was trying to avoid and I won't continue on because you've decided that sport in general doesn't in fact require similar basic disciplines especially co-ordination. I can't argue with you, because if you don't believe that then there's not much I have a chance of convincing you with.

But you're dismissing basic biology, GL and that my son is unforgiveable. You must have seen kids that are useless and some are great. Practicing helps, of course it does, but there has to be something there to start with. Just look at what you're saying otherwise? You sound like an advert for the BBC - anyone can take part/you can be the next Rooney. Give me a break mate.

He's still at Spurs and tho works with the First Team works with the reserves and much younger age groups to develop them.

All according to Wikipedia anyway............

He was interviewed by Spurs TV before the PSV match, so I know for a fact he's still there. From what he said, it seemed like he works with the youngsters most of the time, as he did when he was with PSV.

So, GL, are we to take it that you've been coached in utter crassness? Has practice made perfect? Or is this a wholly natural attribute?

Where is the falling asleep smiley?

Of course tennis and football use hand and eye coordination, ldo! But their practices are not the same. Motor racing and football use hand eye coordination!?! Driving a dump track and writing a thesis on criminal law uses hand and eye coordination.

Your responses are futile, because you literally do not have a clue what you are talking about.

Now if I want to talk law I will come to you, ok.:hello:

Ronaldo had better coaching as a youngster and more desire to improve.

Beckham was obviously born to take free kicks? The facts are that he practice and practice until he mastered it.

No, no, absolutely no. My entire point was that you'd be hard pressed to find someone more professional and with more desire to succeed than Solskjær. He comes from a club that is well known for their work with youngsters, and he worked extremely hard since he was very young. I doubt very much you could add to the work he did.

Idiotic imbecile, General Levy? Would you say that is more rude or less rude than 'mongoloid' for which you once reported me?

I'm sorry, did I report you?

Also Defsta is a troll who has been banned from here plenty of times before and has been allowed back.

No they cannot, you idiotic imbecile - do you see why?

Yeah, but if they start to study at young age and with correct guidance like you said and they all bacome a fucking Einsteins.

My point was that only practice and developening isn't really enough to make a good player. But when you do it with kinesthetically gifted youngsters, then you will propably succeed more often to get results what you want. As a coach and ex-player you have seen that even some players train as much as others they never be as good and then there's always few who are above others and they are those who are "gifted" players.

Now to think of a highly original statement to debunk this. Oh ... wait ...

You may have your coaching badges, which I'm informed it's a case of paying for rather than passing - given that my mate who now works for West Ham [the goalie guy who I wheel out on Robbo discussions] has said as much - but that doesn't make you the king of basic science. My mate was a Tottenham youth too by the way. But he wasn't tall enough to make it as a goalie.

I'm sure they told him to keep practicing being tall.

Are you really sure that basic biology plays no part? REALLY sure?

Please stop trolling my posts/threads.

I'll make an appropriate response whenever I see fit, ta very much.

You've been talking unmitigated tripe throughout this thread, starting with your initial response to Bulletspur. (And you have the brass neck to accuse others of trolling? What a grossly inflated little bubble of conceit and hypocrisy you are!) Of course you cannot manufacture a top-class (or even a half-decent) footballer if the innate ability isn't there. The same goes for any walk of life: you can't manufacture great musicians, chess players and mathematicians either.

Where do you suppose great footballers came from in the days before coaches, let alone coaching badges?

Ultimately, the basis of your argument is about theory and hear say. Where as mine is about practice and facts. You are so wrong, that I cannot be bothered to answer you. I suggest now let your 5 figure post count mates reassure your wisdom.

You hear that Darwin, apparently it's all hearsay mate? Yeah I wouldn't have guessed it either. Oh well, better start practicing evolving.

WTF has my post count or other people's post counts got to do with anything, but from exposing an obvious complex you have? :?

Countless people in this thread are countering you, but instead you just dismiss them all as stupid, imbecilic or wrong - when really you're just spouting your opinion which is in fact so blinkered it's untrue. I've been guilty of similar practices in the past, but at least put some weight behind what you are arguing - something I've never been guilty of not doing.

I'd love to hear some of your "practice and facts" information. It sounds purely delicious. Do go on.

That's exactly what you are saying though, GL.

No because someone with a low IQ cannot be taught the intelligence of Eistein. But footballers all range in IQ's and if you look at Grahame Le Saux or Jonothan Woodgate for a crude example.
